I hope you like nuclear spicy noodles. It is loaded with Korean gochujang in the sauce. I like to add a little bit of raw cabbage just before the noodles finish boiling before you dump most of the water (if it boils too long, it smells farty) and maybe a little tofu or cooked meat during the stir-fry part of preparation. Occasionally I add extra seaweed or green onion at the very end. If you find yourself in over your head but don't want to waste noodles, you can try it with some tofu or put melty cheese on top to curb the intensity.I tried the 4x Spicy Mala flavor before these and it seemed almost less spicy than the 2x spicy, so I was surprised, but I still enjoy them!If you have trouble tasting flavor under hot food, aren't a 12 year old trying to be a cool kid by forcing this down, or a really cruel prankster, then these noodles are a waste of your money. If you love spicy food or are aquainted with Korean or other spice-loving food cultures, you'll find this very well seasoned with good flavor dimension for instant noodles.If you buy them and hate the flavor, fear not! The noodles themselves are high quality! Great texture, chewy, firmish, and everything you'd want fresh Korean style ramen noodles to be! Just throw out the flavor packs and add the noodles to a soup or make your own stir fried noodles with whatever you want in it if you find the spice unpleasant. I'll be honest, if you bought these just to have the noodles without the spice, I wouldn't blame you at all!

Package came wrapped just fine, no complaints at all. Tried to eat the red package, after 4-5 bites, I realized I actually do love myself and stopped eating the noodles. They were so hot I knew my insides were being destroyed. If I could stand the heat, they'd be great. Black package was also extremely hot. Finished more than half, then gave up. Not sure if I'm just weak or if me not being able to finish is my body looking out for me. All in all, still bomb noodles.

I’m not here to brag about how these weren’t spicy at all because they definitely were! But the flavour is really good. I enjoy spicy food and I naturally wanted to try the spicy noodle challenge. Personally, I couldn’t manage the red ones after a quarter of the way in. The original (black) has the same flavour but the spice is more manageable. It’ll still hit you though. But what’s great is neither one really lingers. After a few minutes my mouth was fine.

The black package is VERY hot, and the red package is twice as hot! Prepare to be sweating when eating these! As bigclivedotcom said, I don't know why they bother calling it chicken flavor, it's impossible to taste the chicken over the intense heat!

These are both really great.The Spicy and x2 spicy, I can definitely feel the difference in heat between the two.The Noodles themselves are thicker than just Normal store bought ramens.Extremely spicy! No under estimate there.Hotter than any type of ramen i've hand hands down.I make mine with a bit more water, so it's a broth rather than a stir fry. (Stir fry way is hotter! As the sauce becomes a paste that sticks to the noodles so there's no way around the heat lol)So I make more of a broth, so I can dip my noodles down into it when I want more of a kick!With some Ajitsuke Tamago (Ramen eggs) and cabbage, they are so perfect.So much so, I crave them.I've found that even if you cut the package of "killer pepper juice" in half, it's still extremely spicy!Definitely would recommend if you are not scared of sweating a bit while eating.(I went and reordered a 10pk of just the Spicy :) so good)

So as an American land locked in the Midwest, these are definitely a welcome change of pace from the boring instant ramen we are used to. I bought them because of the 'challenge' and wanted to see hot they stack up. They are hot, and I presume if you are not used to eating spicy food they are really hot. Not bad for flavor too but if I wanted something that was spicy and delicious so far the Nongshim Shin Black are the best I've tried.Super hot!!!

I absolutely love spicy food. I've been seeing these all over youtube and decided it was time to try them. I received both flavors. Packets are bigger than store bought ramen and noodles are way thicker. I was actually expecting this to be worse but then again I'm used to spiciness. Black one is ok, I can eatit with the whole sauce packet added, red ones... Hmmm... Not so much. I only add half and thats enough. It becomes painful if I add it completely. The sauce actually makes them look greasy but at least they taste awesome.Quick tip: for spicy mac & cheese add half a packet of x2 sauce and the packet of sea weed. This blew my mind. Can't wait to get more.

I’m half korean& half european. I eat spicy food all the time and I grew up with it. I got my mom hooked on the regular black one. I eat the 2x (red package) and I don’t have an issue with it being hot and the aftermath unlike some people, it doesn’t affect me. They are both really hot so beware if you buy this! Your mouth will be lit on fire. Can’t go wrong with Samyang ramen. Ramen is my comfort food and I eat it all the time. Whether it’s instant or gourmet, my go to are these from Samyang. :)
