William Saurin Saucisses aux lentilles la Boîte 840 g

I bought this product amongst other foodstuffs in a Supermarket in France. In England we have beans and sausages in tins and because I cook quite a lot with Lentils, thought this might be an interesting change from the usual British fair, as a quick snack. The moment I started cooking an extremely strange and unpleasant smell hit me; it was like a dirty but mild artificial odour. I have checked the expiry date; good for another 2 years and there is no signs of damage to the tin, and contents show no signs of contamination. Fearing it was animal food, I checked online and found an advertisement for this stuff with people eating around a table. The sausages look like they have been constructed from minced goo and both the sausages and lentils tasted as bad as they smelt. An hour later, and I still haven't got the taste out of my mouth. Be warned; if you have any taste buds, do not eat his stuff. I rarely submit feedback but I have been so appalled by this, that I feel compelled to say something.
