I was attracted by the pictures in this book and the idea of a sampler quilt, which would cover different techniques and designs. The quilts are stunning and inspiring, and the explanations of each block are clear. Additional details and techniques are also included, and I have used several of these tips (how to make a half square triangle easily for example).This is a book I will keep and refer to when planning a new project or trying a new technique, and I intend to make use of many of the blocks over time.

I have recently started quilting, almost a year, did not at first want to do a quilt, preferred making bags and purses. At the class that I attend someone had made a quilt using some of the samplers in this book. I was bowled over and now want to do a quilt of my own so had to buy this book. It did not disappoint the designs are fabulous and instructions clear and easy to follow. I have now started to source my fabric for my first quilt. Can't wait t get started.

An accompanying book to her first Sampler Quilt book. Clear guidance about fabric colour choice; the type of construction used for each block ; template making and all techniques. Suitable for quilters with either limited or no previous experience. Am currently making a quilt using blocks from both books. It offers opportunity to learn new skills and gain experience in making many different designed blocks, both machine and hand pieced. Particularly valuable when residing in an area where there are no local tutors available.

My wife has been Quilting for some years and finds this to be a star among many books she has on the subject.

This is a wonderful book, full of tips, illustrations and explanations by Lynne Edwards. A must for avid quilters

The author covers everything you need to know in an easy to follow instructive style. This is my first sampler quilt and I am delighted with the results so far.

Having completed the whole book as a way of developing/improving my patchwork and quilting skills, a relative saw my handy work and placed this book on her wish list. I am only too pleased to buy it for her as it is very easy to follow the instructions.
