Volta Keyboard

this keyboard was something that i really wanted to like. i was super attracted to the simple, bright color scheme, compact form factor, and the fact that it had MX brown switches was the cherry on top. unfortunately this is where the positives end for the particular board i receivedthe positives- the laser printed legends were clear with no smudges and smears- the switches were smooth. if you like MX browns, then the typing experience on these should be right up your alleysome neutral points- the legend (font) color is more a mid-charcoal gray versus the black in the product photos. i did not mind this actually but it did not match the product photos so some buyers may not feel the same- the key cap colors were more pastel-like versus the brighter / vibrant color palette in the photos. again, i did not mind thisthe negatives- the 'Y' did not work. i had to use type quite hard for the keyboard to register the keystroke command. even typing hard would not produce consistent results- the USB cable is not detachable and this is not mentioned anywhere in the product description as of 21 April 2018. had this been mentioned anywhere i would have skipped the purchase as i prefer detachable cables- the right 'Shift' legend does not match the left. it is either in an entirely different font from the rest of the keyboard or the manufacturer just stretched the text horizontally- there is no 'Function' button. i would have rated this a neutral as i figured the Fn / multimedia abilities are likely enabled through other means. however the company did not provide any manuals or instructions in the box. at this point i just did not feel up to the task and go through Reddit or other resources to figure this out
