Great product, no instructions
Not the first time I've used these Hafele supports, and they're great for holding up pretty chunky pieces of timber. I fashioned an offcut from a solid oak kitchen worktop into a loudspeaker shelf, so they're supporting quite a weight.The more accurate your drilling, both for the wall plugs and the recesses in the shelf, the better. Correct dimensions for drilling diameters and depths are absolutely crucial. Which makes it a pity that these came with no instructions of any kind. Luckily I found full details on Hafele's website.

Perfect
I bought 3 of these to put up an oak mantel. I received them on time but having read some people's reviews I was concerned if these would be any good. I needn't have worried, they were perfect for the job. 12mm for the beam and I think it was 8 or 10mm for the wall. All installed with minimal fuss, the biggest challenge will be your own measuring. I will use these again as and when required.

Cheap, sturdy and with some patience can put set up without any experience
I used these to turn two 1m long scaffold boards into floating shelves for my kitchen. I used three in each shelf and they hold very well and there is only slight play in the shelves when I push down on themI'm not very experienced when it comes to D.I.Y and found this pretty easy to install. Just ensure that the holes you drill in to the wall and the shelfs are as close to perfectly straight as you can get them.

Not fit for use in a plasterboard and wooden batten wall
These are made from two pieces of metal plus the washer and the wall plug. The screw goes into the wooden battens all right, but the join between the screw part and the solid metal part is very flimsy and I couldn't tighten it enough to prevent it from moving around on a plasterboard wall

Bought 4, 1 snapped, used 3
I bought these to mount a 26kg oak mantle, which is 150cm long, and 14cm in height and width. The first bracket snapped as i was screwing into the wall, so i had to make do with 3.The shelf is up, but the brackets have a lot of flex in them and the shelf after 1 month looks like it's coming away from the wall. It's currently 10mm away from the wall at the top and if i push it and hold it stays put. I don't think 3 of these are quite up to the task as the screw bit which goes into the wall is only around 3mm thick. This is where the strength is needed however.My plan is to replace these and remount with stronger ones in due course..
