The integration of a camera and a bird feeder is a superbly accomplished combo that results in an experience that is both seamless and accommodating to the user. In addition to being an environmentally responsible and practical option, the solar panel guarantees continuous functioning without the inconvenience of having to change the battery on a regular basis. The installation took only a few minutes, and I was able to get it set to capture the birds that came to visit my backyard. The suspense of being able to watch the arrival of the first bird was considerable, and when it finally occurred, the effects were nothing short of amazing. It not only managed to take gorgeous movies and photographs of the birds of high quality, but it also managed to identify the species of the birds with an impressive degree of precision. This function was a game-changer for me since it enabled me to learn about and enjoy the wide variety of birds that visit my yard. As a result, my knowledge and enthusiasm for these magnificent creatures were both enhanced.

Easy set up - my dad was able to do it on his own and has now sent me an impressive number of bird videos. I can tell he loves it, so do I. Very cool to see the birds up close that well.

I didn't have to assemble the bird feeder except for connecting the perch and mounting hardware, and snapping the light green roof into place. Before installing the bird feeder outside, I set up its companion app, Vicom, which I downloaded from the Google Play Store. Through the app, I connected the camera to my phone. Note that the camera only works with a 2.4 GHz network.I ended up installing the bird feeder on a pole. I wanted to install it on a tree but the strap was too short and I didn't want to drill holes. I used heavy duty zip ties to mount the bird feeder on the pole, high enough so cats can't reach it.In the app, I learned that the camera can automatically turn on once it's sufficiently charged after the batteries run out. I enabled this setting to avoid having to manually turn it on, which I believe should be the default setting. The app also has alarm settings, like an audible alarm and a flashlight alarm when motion is detected. However, these alarms would scare away the birds I'm trying to feed and capture on camera, so I find them unnecessary.The camera records audio as well, allowing me to hear the birds. Under video settings, I discovered that the recording resolution was set to SD instead of HD, so I quickly changed it. I also enabled auto night vision to see what wildlife visits at night.Lastly, I installed the solar panel, which has a long cable that allowed me to position it high enough to avoid obstructions and receive direct sunlight. However, I don't recall the manual mentioning the need to create a downward loop in the cable to prevent water from dripping into the USB port.To add food for the birds, I lift the roof from one side. The bird feed is protected from rain, with only a small portion exposed to the elements, which the birds eat immediately. The camera provides clear pictures of all the feathered visitors and the app alerts me of any visits along with a recording. And I've even seen cute, hungry squirrels eating some of the bird feed.

Every thing works well. Links easily to wi-fi and Android VicoHome app.As noted by others, lid comes off in a brisk wind even after fiddling with the latch.Darling photos and audio. Will devise a velcro strap to hold lid on.

I've been wanting one of these for a long time and finally bought one! I absolutely love everything about it. The video quality is amazing and it's very easy to setup. I love sharing the videos with my friends and family. The AI bird identification works quite well. I now know what kind of birds are visiting my yard without searching through numerous websites. Highly recommended for any bird lover!

i’ve only had this set up for a couple of weeks but it’s working really well. I can see all the bird activity in my backyard and the bonus is it access a security camera as well. Quality product.

Unfortunately this product only made it 3 months and then the camera stopped charging and working. No way to replace the camera so the result is junk. It worked great on initial charge but when weConnected the solar panel, it lasted a month and the. Complete failure.

I have not set it up outdoors yet because it’s still too cold however, I plan to in the near future. Setting it up on the Internet with the app was quite easy. I am impressed with the quality of the item.
