How can this work safely on a UK specification class 1 metal light fitting?
Class 1 means its a metal appliance/light that needs an earth wire connected to the metal base. In this case it was metal based LED wall light. The touch dimmer only works once you disconnect the earth wire, leaving the metal base at risk of becoming live in the event of a short circuit. Also a smell of cheap components overheating after 60 secs of use.
