Quick and easy game to play
This game has a simple enough premise - you have 168 cards each with a different words, and four clues to that word. You place a card in the little cardholder provided, and you move it up one bit at a time to reveal each of the clues. Each player has a piece of paper from the pad and a pencil, and you write down the word you think is the answer in each space. If your first guess is correct, you get 4 point, second guess 3 points, third guess 2 points, and fourth guess 1 point. You play eight rounds, then total up your points to see who has won. What I really liked about this is that if you're playing with just two players, you can both play the game fully - someone just puts the card into the holder without looking at it, then you are both guessing the answers equally. Works well with up to six players too - some of the words can lend themselves to various guesses at the four point stage, which does add an element of luck as well as skill.I've taken off one star, because I feel the price of over £14 is maybe a little on the expensive side for a simple game, which comes in a small box, but you do get a good amount of cards so you'll be able to play this many times before you get through them all.

Well-designed game with a rather complex scoring system
The game I chose for review was Wordio. It needs a minimum of three to play, and I haven’t tried it yet, but it will be interesting to see how it goes. My impressions are as follows:It’s best described as a more complicated, multi-player version of Wordle, as it is based on the right letter/right position, right letter/wrong position and wrong letter altogether concept. The difference is that the scoring is partially based on these categories, and that each player in turn is the “chooser” of a word for the others to guess; the word can vary from three to twelve letters. The scoring system is quite complex, and you would need to use the scoring grid supplied, unless you choose to play a simpler game version of your own making. The recommended age of 14 plus is probably advisable, as I can see younger children getting frustrated and/or bored, even if you limit the number of letters to much lower than twelve. It’s worth remembering that one of the attractions of Wordle is that the words are only five letters long, and you can ignore all non-five letter words. The rules of Wordio say “the chooser need not say how many letters their word contains”, but if you follow this the games might be very protracted.

Puzzling fun for adults
Aha! A game that piqued my interest, I decided to give Aha a try with some friends, and it turned out to be an intriguing and entertaining experience.Upon cracking open the box, we unearthed a wealth of cards (a whopping 168 of them), scorecards, a clue revealer envelope, pencils, and a rule sheet. The game's objective is to decipher the word, item, or concept described in the clues. Here's the twist – the clues come in a wide range of difficulties, and the points you earn are inversely proportional to that difficulty.Aha! is designed for 2-6 players, and we had no trouble accommodating our group of friends. We took turns providing clues while the others attempted to crack the riddle. We found that the more players, the merrier, as it allowed for a broader spectrum of ideas and insights. What I appreciated most was the adaptability of the game. We could fine-tune the gameplay to fit our group's preferences. The rule sheet offered clear instructions, and we found it easy to tailor the game to suit our adult audience. As for the cards themselves, they were of good quality and plentiful, promising many hours of fun. The competitive element brought out our inner wordsmiths, and we had a great time trying to outwit each other with our clever clues. One of the game's advantages is its portability. We could easily select a handful of cards and take them along in the car or to other gatherings, making Aha! an excellent choice for some on-the-go entertainment. In summary, Aha! is a fantastic game for a group of adults, even though it's originally recommended for ages 14 and up. The price is quite reasonable, considering the quantity and quality of the cards. It's a great addition to my collection of adult-oriented games, perfect for a game night with friends. If you're on the hunt for a unique and engaging card game for grown-ups, Aha! is definitely worth considering.

Fun game. Easy to participate, difficult to win!
This is a fun family game which is quick to learn and easy to participate in... although often hard to guess! The box includes a large amount of game/clue cards (168) score cards, clue revealer envelope, pencils and rule sheet. It is aimed at ages 14+, recommended for 2-6 players. The aim of the game is to guess the word/item/thing being described in the clues. The hardest clue being worth the most points, the easiest, most obvious clue, being worth the least points. As with many other games, you can of course adapt the rules and gameplay to suit. You could play in teams or with more players. For slightly younger children you could leave out the harder clues and change the scoring system accordingly. You could have a rowdy ‘free for all’ and have teams/individuals just shouting out the answers as oppose to writing them down.I also like that you can take a handful of cards, without the box or rest of the contents, in a handbag/car with you, for ‘on the go’ travel fun.The price of the game reflects the good quality of the cards and other items included in the box.
