Dopro Chrome Metal Curved Base Bottom Jack Plate Square Jackplate for USA LP Les Paul

I have an offshore Les Paul and bought this plate to replace my stock one. I assumed that something as common as a jack plate would be universal. Nope. Turns out my screw spacing is a tighter 23mm while this item is 25.4.The product description points out that this doesn't fit all guitars which is fair. But I have scoured the internet but I can't find a single company that makes a jack plate with 23mm spacing. Not everyone owns a US-spec Les Paul...there's a missed opportunity here.

It's a jack plate. It's chrome. I just slipped it over my jack and screwed it on, didn't even have to cut a new hole, just the four pilot holes for the screws.

The original plastic plug holder cracked this metal replacement fits perfect.

No problem with installation- very easy.

The item arrived in a timely manner as pictured and described with no finishing flaws. 😁 As noted in other reviews, this item needs some adjustments to fit properly. As delivered, the LP Custom it's intended for had a 1mm-2mm gap in center. 🤔 I had to place on a hard surface (inside a rag to avoid scratches) and hit with a rubber mallet to flatten the arch radius a bit. 😐 With proper radius achieved, it was discovered the OEM plate holes did not quite line up either. 🤔 The guitar has since been taken to my luthier/guitar technician to fill the old holes and drill new holes. I will return with updates and pictures upon completion. 😏

Thick and juicy like my burgers. Upgraded the cheap, thin, LP style rectangular output jack on my Donner Tele. BTW, get one of those, swap out the electronics for wilkinson, do the usual upgrade and you got a killer axe, I digress. This is creamy chrome and looks really sturdy. I will use this in my upcoming custom builds. Dopro is good.
