Works well and very easy setup
I required mobile broadband in an apartment I travel to infrequently, to use with my laptop and gaming PC.When I used my iPhone to act as a mobile hotspot, the connection is really unreliable, dropping out frequently or just stopping for no apparent reason. I tried many things and decided my phone must not like being a router so I bought this 4G router as a replacement and was very pleasantly surprised:The router was extremely easy to setup, requiring just attaching the antennae to the back of the device, inserting SIM card and powering on. It connected to the mobile network at full strength with no issue at all and started broadcasting it's own WiFi network which I could connect to no problem. It's been on for a while now and i've not encountered any interruptions in data or connectivity. The software, should you want to go in and change any settings, is also surprisingly well laid out and has many more features that I would expect from much more expensive routers, of which I have had many throughout the years. All in all, it solved my connectivity problems, was very easy to setup and the software offers lots of features that will keep 99% of users happy. Well chuffed with my purchase

Used as extender wired to pc
Bought this on a whim as I needed 1gb lan ports and 5GHZ for wireless PCVR. I wasn’t disappointed. The UI took a minute or two to figure out while changing the settings but once I’d familiarised myself it was easy. Signal strength is as advertised even through a solid brick wall. Speeds are amazing both LAN ports and the Wifi. I’ve never had the connection drop, nor have I ever needed to go back into the routers settings.I’m sure a more advanced network user could find problems or issues but as a basic router or access point with 1gb lan ports it’s great. 5/5

Simple to setup but limited users
So i was getting frustrated with my Virgin Media hub. Constant drop outs when doing simple things across the wifi. I heard adding a new router will make everything good again so I jumped on this model as it was a great price.15 minutes of set up (thanks to a previous reviewer that gave some instructions, really handy) and I had my system up and running.I then started to find a new problem. I kept getting router is full errors. It would appear that the max amount of connections is 15. I have lots of wifi sockets, alexa's and google devices plus tablets, laptops and other bits that rely on wifi. I've had to get an extension adapter to try and fake a single connection as 1 port to free up some wifi space.I think I might just turn this into a repeater and try another router. Nice piece of kit but if you have lots of connections then you'll hit a big problem.

Worked for 5 minutes
I bought this to add WiFi to my summer house so the kids could listen to their playlists whilst in the summer house. Setting it up was easy enough it did add WiFi once you went out of its range you had to go back and search for the router again via the app and set it up again. This happened 4 or 5 times so I’ve sent it back for a refund. I wouldn’t buy anything now that wasn’t from TP-Link as I’ve now got my set up working 100% with no problems. I thought I’d try a cheaper option but learned when it comes to quality price really does matter.

Good price, sinpet and effective.
Really good price for a decent strength WiFi hub. This is used in connection with a Powerline network adaptor and has two printers, 4 laptops, two tablets and a mobile phone all connected and working at any given time. The device set up page is clear and easy to understand, required virtually no set up and worked basically out of the box once I'd cloned the network SSID for WiFi so that devices just seamlessly switched.

OK
Works fine. Its not got the speed of a 5gHz router and its beamforming is nothing too brilliant, but it does the job for older devices that can't take advantage of the modern wifi speeds and for the price is very reasonable. It can act as a router/DCHP a bridge or access point with a web-based menu. I'd recommend for the price. Though the aerials are a little intimidating when on show and looks like some kids toy robot.

- easy to set up;- would expect it to have higher signal coverage but it’s very good for the price
