I reviewed this product in April and May of 2023.This tripod has some great featured that I really enjoyed. The first thing to note is the ball head is larger than some similar models. This gave me better control to position my camera than I would have had with the smaller sized ball heads and more confidence when using heavier cameras. The rotation was smooth and the base of the ball head has clear markings to help position shots. It comes with a plate to attach to your camera (shown in the images) but I used a favorite of mine with zero issue. The built in level is useful when you're framing up shots and setting up.I'm not a huge fan of the leg locks on this but they are functional. They are small and feel a little loose and of lower quality when compared to the rest of the product. I'm also not a fan of the extension locks being made of plastic and not metal. I'm not sure how these will perform over time and if they'll hold up. While these are minor issues, for this price-point they really aren't an issue.Another key feature is the detachable leg that you can use with the center column to use as a monopod. This is really great because in one bag you can bring both a tripod for shooting and a monopod if you want to go lighter and have more freedom. Its a simple unscrew and add in the center column head and you're done.While light weight is always a great feature to have, it sometimes works against you for stability. The center column has a solution for that with a little hook to hang your bag or a sand bag to hold the tripod in place.Finally, the entire tripod reverse folds up into a really small carrying form factor that lets it slip into the provided carry bag. Small size, light weight, good to go for travel and shooting on the road.I was really impressed for the price-point and I think this would be a perfect option for an on the go tripod option with gear that was within the weight limit.

I own a carbon fiber tripod that is many times the price of this little guy and I love it. The problem is that it is heavier (much larger ball head) and beaks down to almost double the length of this. This is what I was missing for travel, hiking, etc. a light, small tripod that wasn’t the be all, but the nitch player. This works great and I love that it doubles as a monopod that is super light and small.While it is not as nice as my other tripod, it is nice enough. The ball head is decent, the leg extension tabs are plastic, but functional. The tripod it reasonably stable, but I hang my camera bag from the center to stabilize even more.I use a medium size travel camera with it and it works well. I haven’t thrown my DSLR on it, but I can’t imagine that it would be a problem. I love that the ball head is arca-Swiss so that I can leave my L-bracket on and move between either tripod for the studio or travel.
