Got it off!
Amazing product. Just used it to take off a bolt on my '08 corolla alternator. Rounded the head pretty good and only had about 3 inches of clearance.Saw these bad boys and wondered how I was going to be able to hammer them in, but after a few love taps from a cats paw, I was able to get a snug fit. Thre the socket wrench on and got it off in less than a minute! I was so happy I jumped and shouted, "You're getting 5 stars from me buddy!" Immediately came to write this review; alternator is still in my car!Amazing product! There's more than one way to pluck a duck, but this is how I'll be doing it from now on!That being said, I hope these gather dust in my shed for many years to come. Thanks again!

I bought this to use on my transmission oil drain. Never got to it but have used it on my neighbors kids cars several times and worked really well!

Wow what an amazing tool!!!
This tool saved me!Working on a 1940 Ford Flathead V8 and the water pump bolts inside the water chamber were too far gone to get with a standard socket. On a forum recommendation I tried these and they WORK! Took bolts out easy! Amazing!.

These actually work
I was surprised how well these worked. I had a rounded oil drain plug bolt 17mm. I Was fighting for 2 days to get it out, used pipe wrench and everything. Got these extractor and within 5 minutes it came loose. Trick is to use a smaller size and tap it on with a hammer so it bites good. Excellent product saved me from drilling and tapping. Can only give 4 stars cause it came late.

Breaks even when using hand tools
The first thing that happened was a broken drill bit, so I decided to drill more slowly with cutting oil using one size up (since the first bit that broke was the smallest). This worked, but the bit became dull after about 20 minutes of slow, intermittent drilling. Next, I tried to use one of the tapered extractors, and it broke off immediately in the screw. I had to drill it out with a different company's left-hand carbide bit. Then, I tried using one of the sized extractors, in a hole with the correct diameter, without power tools, and it broke off in the screw after a couple turns. (Yes, with only a hand ratchet, no power tools.) This kit did not work for me, and made the process of removing this stuck screw even more difficult due to all the extra work involving drilling out broken extractors. The picture shows the screw with the broken extractor inside it. It's possible I was doing something wrong, but I used a different company's extractor and it worked great to get the screw out, as well as a second identical screw right near this first one.
