Easy to use once opened!
Arrived promptly well packed. Did not notice any particular scent. The hardest part was actually breaking the seal on the bottle. I ended up using a screwdriver to puncture the seal. It appears so far to be keeping the water nice and clear and build of algae on the cascade.

Clear pond, safe for wildlife.
Being a new pond owner, my landscaper recommended that I use chlorine to keep the pond clean (I should point out that it is an ornamental pond without fish). I found however that chlorine has two disadvantages; firstly the chlorine removed the coloured dye used in the pond and secondly - and most important to me - was not safe for wildlife. Looking for alternatives that were wildlife safe, I found Hydra Aqua-Brite. Have been using it for about six months as so far the pond water has remained clear, I have not needed to add anymore dye, and appears to be safe for wildlife (I'm not exactly sure how I can be 100% sure on this, but have no reason to believe it is not safe and am taking the manufacturer's word for this).

Difficult to measure a small amount
I have not used this product yet so can't comment on whether it works. What I didn't appreciate however is how little I need and how difficult it will be to be accurate. The product has a built in self-measure of a minimum of 5ml. However you only need 1ml for every 10 litres of water and I need even less - my water fountain that I bought it for only holds 6.8 litres. With birds drinking from my water fountain I need to find a way of measuring a very small quantity so I don't poison them! Hence the three star rating.
