Amazon EssentialsMen's Fleece Crewneck Sweatshirt (Available in Big & Tall Sizes)

My husband usually buys his sweatshirts, size 4XLT, from a well known big and tall company. They run around $40. So when I saw these on Amazon, I bought 1 in 4XL Tall, to see how they fit him. These came to less than 1/2 the prize of his regular shirts. The shirt fitted well, but it was way too long for him, by about 4 inches. I kept it, but ordered another one sized 4 XL. This one fits him like the Tall size that he gets from the well known big and tall seller. So I ordered three more. I would say that the tall are really too long, and the regular length is about 3 inches longer than normal.These shirt are well made. The fabric is thick and of good quality. The seams are perfect. They fit him really well. I washed them in warm water and dried them on low. The colors (black and navy) did not run and the shirts did not shrink. They came out very soft. At less than 1/2 the price of what he normally buys, these are a terrific value.

The weight on this sweatshirt is quite nice and I like that it's not your typical navy colored sweatshirt. It's not heavy duty, but my father-in-law had been wanting a lightweight sweatshirt that in his words was "a blue sweatshirt any color but navy." But funny when you search for blue lightweight sweatshirts, the vast majority of navy, so I was pleased to find this one. The color is really pretty and he absolutely loved it. He said the weight was perfect and won't make him sweat, but be just warm enough to wear under a jacket or just around the house in the fall and winter. It's not super thick so if you're looking for a heavy duty sweatshirt, this isn't it, but it's the perfect lightweight and soft and comfy sweatshirt.

Update: This shirt came out of the dryer with no wrinkles or shrinkage. It’s just out of the mail, in the photos.I thought I would give the Pink a try, because it’s hard to find a warm sweatshirt for under $30, these days. It’s 5’7”, 210 lbs., and got a 2X. I usually wear a Women’s 2X, but usually size up to Women’s 3X in sweatshirts. I’m so glad I chose this size, because it’s just big and long enough to cover me to mid-hip. It’s not for leggings…just a regular sized, boxy, thick, warm sweatshirt. The problem is the sleeves are way too long and the wrists are huge. The sleeves don’t stay pushed up, and hang down to the bottom of my hands. I have to roll them up to my elbows to get them to stay, and it looks weird. The color is great. It’s a dusty light Pink, but not pastel. It’s not exactly oversized, but roomy enough. I will keep this one, because it matches the floral print in my jeggings so well. There was another color I wanted, but won’t order this style again unless it’s for my son, I think he would love these! The material is nice, soft and warm. The color is saturated and not heather print (some brands don’t specify). I hope they continue to offer these on layaway, so I can get some for him. 3 stars for women, 5 for men (as intended). I hope the wrists aren’t baggy on him, too. He’s a Medium, so, hopefully, they will be smaller in his size. If they’re still on layaway, I will definitely let him try one and see! I know I will wear this a lot, around the house and for errands of my night school classes.

True to size. Very soft and comfortable. Did not shrink after washing. Color did not fade. Made from thick durable material.

This sweatshirt is lined with fleece making it warmer than an average sweatshirt. My husband loves wearing it on cool days. It fits true to size and looks nice on. Super comfortable.

I wear this regularly in cooler months. I would buy more colors!

This was actually my first purchase of an Amazon Essentials clothing item. It was run on a lightening deal so I scooped it up to try. I’m always cold, so I love a good sweatshirt. The color was as pictured and the sizing was accurate. I do wish the waist band was a little looser, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary for a men’s cut on a pear shaped woman. The inside was soft and cozy and the fabric felt quality. It maintained its size and shape when washed and dried, but it did get pilled up extremely quickly. That was the reason for the loss in stars. I’ve bought many a sweatshirt brand, from expensive to cheap, and have only had one or two pill over my lifetime, let alone after one wear and wash. It could be a fluke, so I may give it another go and see what happens.

I love the color of this sweatshirt. It came just like it appears. It is soft, well made and great quality for the price! Would order again or recommend to friends!It is not as stretchy or as loose as some other sweatshirts, so so if you’re looking for a looser fit, definitely size up!

I bought this Amazon Basics sweatshirt a few weeks ago and I am very happy with it. It is soft, comfortable, and warm. The fit is true to size and the color is as shown in the picture. It washes well and does not shrink or fade. It is a great value for the price and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a basic sweatshirt. It is perfect for casual wear or lounging at home.
