the book is not very comprehensive, some terms are used very loosely
The book is ok, it's very superficial, not going into the detail of the real implication on the performance of different methods. The way it's printed is awful, code snippets take pages to demonstrate the simplest examples, as if the author just tried to populate the book to have more pages. Like spending 4 pages on how to install anaconda with huge screenshots of the website… Overall, I wouldn't recommend it at all, it's mostly defining some terms and demonstrating the simplest examples
