I purchased a female dwarf hamster for my Granddaughter. I had hamsters when I was a kid. It’s important they have their baths. This was the best sand I could find. It very soft and very fine. Julia loves rolling in it. My favorite part is when the little thing shakes like a dog after bathing herself.Do not bath hamsters in water. Just saying in case you are new to hamsters.

The product itself is fine, but the packaging is very inconvenient. When you open the bag, everything spills out. It would be much better if it had a ziplock or was packed more securely.

Affordable way for hamster care for essential grooming.

I’ve been ordering this product all year without issues but recently I received bags of it containing the black pellets mentioned in another review. I have no idea what it is? I returned them and asked for new ones and the next set came with the pellets as well. Looks like gray pieces of rice or small dried stems? Maybe mold? 🤷🏻‍♀️

3 stars because I have bought this brand before, and never had a problem, loved it actually. This time… maybe as to why it’s on sale idk, I got the package and there is weird particles almost looking like bugs infested and dried up in the sand! I’ve never seen this before, it’s always been pure sand for the sand bath. But there is sooooo many and it doesn’t look intentional like the chamomile and natural fluff I use for my hamster cage. This looks gross. So, yea beware. I may buy from them again but… maybe not for a while.
