Paint Essentials 12-Feet x 15-Feet Canvas Drop Cloth HW1215

We live in a converted warehouse and our apartment has huge 14 foot windows. I couldn't figure out how to find curtains that looked heavy and expensive, but also didn't blow our budget out of the water. Then I found these drop cloths and they're perfect. I cut them in half (using the stitched seam down the middle as my guide) and then used iron-on hem tape to hem the unfinished edges(the curtains come hemmed so I only had to finish the edges I cut).I then taped out lines and painted inside them to create 2 navy blue stripes around the outside edges. They came out beautiful! They look tailored and expensive!Bottom line, you could use these for so many different projects - upholstery, pillows, tablecloths, stretch it over foam board or a wood frame and paint on it...etc. The fabric is great quality and it has a really yummy natural smell too.Enjoy!

I bought this to replace a torn canopy cover for our backyard gazebo. The size is perfect, and the weight and strength are EXCELLENT. I had intended to waterproof this with silicone spray, but we threw it up in a pinch without waterproofing, and amazingly, this keeps our back patio dry! WOW! Also, I'd wanted to install grommets for the places we secured it to the frame, but again, we wanted to put this up quickly as the baking summer sun out west made relaxing outside unbearable without shade, so we've just used zip ties through small punctures to secure, and even with strong desert winds this has held up with hardly any tearing of the fabric. Finally, this provides great shade and glare and heat reduction while still letting a nice glow come through.

The name should be changed to "Do NOT Drop Cloth" because everywhere there was paint on top of the cloth while painting, it always leaked through and got onto the carpet.Guess how you remove lots of dried up latex paint from carpet? You can't. So we had to cut out chunks of the carpet just to get it looking half-way unpainted. Basically the carpet in this room is ruined.Even if we had 2 of these down, paint still would have leaked through and ruined carpet. This is not a joke review, this is from actual experience and it's been a very unpleasant one. We will be contacting the company to let them know what happened.*maybe we just got a poorly-made one that wasn't thick enough to stop paint, and maybe all the rest of them (hence all the 5-star reviews) are just fine. I dunno

I bought this to cover a sofa that I bought that is a dark red background with flowers. This sofa I want to put on the patio and needed a heavy canvas material to withstand the Florida sun and weather. This was the best canvas for the price, and I went all over to find the right material. I am going to paint it with fabric paint to have a pleasant looking sofa. The wood part of the sofa is bamboo so I will keep in with the tropical theme of the bamboo. The red part with the flowers just doesn't do the sofa justice. Will send a picture when the sofa is covered.The canvas is a very good quality and will lend itself to the painting and the covering of the sofa.

I saw a gorgeous photo, which I saved on my ipad as inspiration, of a totally loose slipcovered sofa, and that's how I used this dropcloth. No sewing required.I really have a large-ish loveseat in my den; the measurement from outside of the arm to outside other arm is 76 inches. The back and cushions are typical size-wise. At first I thought the 12 x 15 was entirely too huge, but I figured I could trim the excess after I washed it. I knew from having used two 9 x 12s as bedroom curtains that these do in fact shrink quite a bit. This one was approximately 10 ft 8 inches x 14 ft 3 inches after being washed and dried. Also, it is so bulky that it barely fit in my very large capacity LG front loader so you may need to go to the laundromat.So my inspiration photo had the slipcover puddled on the floor a bit, so I positioned mine like that (with help from my husband) and we tucked down inside the arms and behind the seat cushions. I then used the trick I've read about to keep the fabric in place...I rolled up thin magazines and put rubberbands around them and tucked them down in the crevices. When all tucked in, the dropcloth did not need to be trimmed.The fabric is really nice...kind of linen-like, thick in a good way, and sturdy. My loveseat is navy blue and you see no hint of color through the dropcloth. There are two seams, which are really close to the outer edges of my loveseat seat cushions, so they don't look odd at all. I think if you wanted a more fitted look, the easiest thing (straight line sewing only) would be to remove all the cushions, drape the cloth on it. Then use more dropcloths, cut as needed, and sew pillowcases like the kind on your bed. Plan so no seams show prominently. Fold the excess cloth back or under so you don't see it. If I didn't have the beautiful inspiration photo of the loose slipcover, that's what I would have done. I have on order from amazon two cable knit throw pillows in a light cream color, and I have a cream colored throw on the back of the loveseat. I have a glass and metal coffeetable with a few large books and some "objets d'art" in front. The look is very chic and sophisticated, as highly unlikely as that sounds for a loose slipcover.Highly recommend this dropcloth for home decor projects. 4 stars because they shrink. I'm not complaining, just saying...don't expect 12 x 15.

I ordered this to use to make slipcovers for some chairs in my house. I like the quality of the canvas drop cloths at Home Depot but not the greyish color. I was looking for similar heavy quality but a lighter color. This product has a lighter color but was too open-weaved for the job. I ended up returning it and bleaching the Home Depot drop cloths. I like being able to feel the weight of the cloth before committing to it.

I used the canvas as a backyard privacy screen The photo shows the first coat of paint on what will be a ‘cedar hedge’ facing a public walkway The side facing the backyard will be a gray wood fence colour After painting both sides the canvas will be cut vertically into 2” strips woven into the 4”x2” welded mesh wire fence backing the canvasThe overall look from the yard side will be a woven wood strips fence and the look from the walkway side will be a partial view of a cedar hedge backing a real, but patchy, cedar hedge. I preshrunk the canvas before painting it with latex paintThe 15x 12 canvas piece is perfect for a 5’ x 34’ woven, painted privacy fence. The top of the fence will be a 4x1 board painted gray to match the fence and add a rigid top

J'étais inquiet qu'en déballant la toile, il y ait des coutures un peu partout. Je faisais un projet spécial et j'avais besoin d'une grande toile. Très satisfait. Aucune jointure apparente! Avec une couche de latex dessus… Ça devient un peu lourd… Mais dans l'ensemble, c'était excellent. Risque d'en acheter d'autres.

I think this is a very good product, I'd definitely purchase again.
