I was looking for placemats to replace our woven plastic placemats that were fraying at the corners. The old ones always let crumbs and drips through, and they were difficult to clean, so they weren’t really doing what I needed.These do the job. They are smaller than I’m used to (about 16.75” x 11.75”), but they definitely help contain crumbs and drips. These are easy to wipe down. There are no threads to unravel - each placemat is a sheet that is textured on both sides. I imagine they’ll be somewhat heat protective. However, haflway through my bowl of hot oats, I could feel the heat of the bowl through the bottom of the placemat to the table.

These are pretty nice. They are pretty thick and a good size. They do well with heat.One bad thing about them was the smell when I received them. Had to air them and wash before it was gone.But overall I like them.Thank you!
