Gorgeous and functional
Put these in our stairwell, adhering them under the banister, and they have really elevated the space! We put up 2 strings, with the motion sensors at either end of the staircase (one at the top, one at the bottom), so it lights up from whichever direction you're entering. Total gamechanger--makes you feel like you're in a hotel. Great also for guests who might not know where the lights are. I also love that they are only activated when it's dark, so during the daytime they won't be triggered. Plus they are USB rechargeable--I usually charge them ever 3-5 days.

Rubbish edit not rubbish very good
Like last lot of lights I got from them look good but the night/day switch stays the same comes on through sensor if day and night setting and comes. If on night setting it shouldn't come on during daylight yet does. Waste of money. And wasn't as cheap as others that work better. So my first encounter wasn't great the product was good but the sensor wasn't working as it should as it would come on during daylight as well as at night not meant to do this. So was contacted by the company and they was very helpful in apologising and would send out a replacement, a day or 2 later an email came back unable to produce another through the system but very kindly gave me a code to go and order it again and use the code so it was free of charge, they didn't need to do this but to me that's great customer service the light arrive today (next day delivery) and straight away works fine as it should so the battery won't be drained down so fast now when I enter the kitchen during the day. Think it's Woban if spelt correct but would and possibly will be back to purchase again some more to put in loft or the shed.

Very bright and does the job very well
we have a very low door frame going into a bedroom and bathroom and wanted something to light up this area when we had guests staying who are not used to the height. I initially thought that it was going to be a hassle to keep re-attaching to charge but someone answered my question on here and realised it was mounted on magnets which is a genius idea. I only needed around 40cm of the tape in order to brighten up this area so quite a bit of the product was wasted when i cut it - so wish it would have come in cheaper and shorter sizes. However the product is very good - bright, easy to install and the motion detector comes on at dusk and works just how i need it to.

Good illumination... and it works!
I was looking for another form of lighting to use when we did not actually need the main lights on - IE: when you are only passing through.Have you ever had children who just do not switch the lights off and leave them on burning away money to the big energy companies? So my first thought was to fit PIR or Occupancy sensors into the main lights so they would only come on when someone walked into view - however in our upstairs landing there are no windows and so is dark anyhow - so decided to purchase these battery-operated rechargeable LED lighting strips with PIR sensors on them. The construction of these is such that there is a main unit that houses the lithium-ion batteries (looks to be 2 of them) and the power switch, light-sensor (that detects the level of light for it to work when set on automatic mode) and the PIR sensor. Also there are sockets for the LED strip lead and a USB Micro socket to enable charging. To charge the unit it utilises the USB 2 to USB Micro cable supplied and during charging the PIR lights up red - then changes to green when charged. The LED light strip is 2 meter length and can be fixed via the adhesive backing on the strip - but I would suggest purchasing some aluminium strips with covers (like I have as shown in the picture). If you need to cut to a shorter length you can as long as you cut where indicated on the strip. To ensure correct sensor coverage you need to ascertain the area where you need to fit and to be sure that 'movement' is detected when you actually need it. Also if you have sufficient light during the day then you can set this to the 'A' position as the automatic sensing will not switch on if suitable level of light detected - hence better battery life in between charging.I have fitted mine just before the toilet which is separate from the bathroom - so if anyone gets up in the night it will detect them from any of the bedrooms when they enter the hallway.Detection range is pretty good - around 3 meters minimum - which is more than adequate for my needs. However, I have noticed a slight detection issue with one of the units, in-as-much-as one is slightly delayed than the other - not much of an issue as it is only a second or so.I always switch the unit to 'M' manual (which means you can use it as a standard light when needed by pushing the round button on the front on/off) during the day when not needed and then switch it to 'A' automatic detection in the evening. At the moment I only have the one unit used and i charge the other one then as the battery life wanes I replace the unit - which has magnetic backing plate you stick to the wall and you can easily just pull the unit away to charge it.Overall these are great for illuminating areas where you do not need a standard mains powered light - which will save you on electric.I will be ordering more of these soon as back ups and/or to fix in other areas of our house before winter sets in.Please note that the rechargeable batteries are not replaceable - however at some point I will attempt to open one unit up to see if I can replace with more powerful batteries. They feel like they are only around 1500mAh power - but don't get me wrong, they have a good life in between charges for the needs.
