Disappointed
The previous petzl tikkas I bought were well made, sturdy and bright for working in the barn or basement. This one is useless. We threw out the rechargeable battery it came with as it didnât hold a charge. It seems to blink when battery is low and it blinked all the time, even after a charge or when we put in new batteries. Why do they mess with a good thing? Itâs also hard to move the light up and down where you need it. âšď¸

Design needs work.
Rechargeable battery power should last longer. I have to keep plenty of AAA's on hand. The swivel mechanism is easily misaligned and a pain to straighten in a hurry. The 3 intensities of light are great!

Why such a big design change?
The new design is NOT user friendly at all. Needed a screw driver to even open the battery compartment. Feels cheap and will be looking at other companies from now on for headlamps.

Not convinced, doesnât seem as robust as previous Petzl headlamps
It doesnât seem as robust as other Petzl headlamps, the rubber âhingeâ for the battery compartment feels like it will wear out pretty rapidly. It is very light and doesnât seem as tough as my other Petzl headlamps. Time will tell, but just feels cheap.

Don't waste your time, downgrade from previous gen, cheap and nasty
I wish I trusted the other bad reviews. Now have to return this as well as continue search for something suitable. This is a downgrade from previous petzl generation. Really does feel awfully cheap and nasty. Overpriced, not even attempting to compete with alternatives. I particularly like hybrid rechargeable and conventional battery option, hybrid power are the keywords to use for searches for alternatives. Previous generation was great, bought multiple for family and colleagues. This generation risks killing the brand reputation completely. I write about one online "review" or similar per year, pretty rare; that's how bad this is.

Strap broke within 2 months
Ok but failed prematurely. Amazon makes it impossible to return under a one year warranty seems you only get a month
