Brilliant!
Renovating our first home and these have been so handy. Cuts through plastic pipe like butter. I know you shouldn’t do this, but I did cut a copper waste pipe using this and it held up very well.Good value for money

Plastic pipe cutter
Well a good item to have in your open tool box. Well done Amazon for selling this as I looked in most of the big shops and the prices were double, very good value.

Easy to cut 20mm plastic conduit.
They are easy to use and easily went through 20mm plastic conduit. My only criticism is they need a more pricise vee angle in the bottom jaw to ensure you get a square cut. Some of my cuts were at a bit of an angle. Not that it mattered for the raised bed hoods I was making, just an observation if you need an accurate square end.

Good
These cutters do the job well and are good for the money. The only minor gripe I have, and I do not know if it was just me, but I found it a bit annoying that the jaws fully open when you go to cut a pipe and you have to crank them down a few times to get them to bite, then line them up again with the cut line. I ended up pushing the top jaw down manually to get it near where I was going to make cut. Also make sure the pipe is sitting on both prongs of the bottom jaw, or you will have a skewed cut. Apart from this they cut well

My new favourite plumbing tool
Cuts pipes like butter. Clean edges. Safe locking mechanism is pleasant to use.Unsure how long it will stay sharp but it lasted for an entire bathroom renovation. Pretty sure you can sharpen it once it might eventually get dull. Cuts booths 1 1/2 inch (40mm) and 1 1/4 inch (32mm) pipes.

usage
They work great but it's not a tool that I would buy to make a career with. i would be spending a little bit more high dollar if I was working with PVC all the time.

Easy to use, but hard to get straight cuts..
I hate cutting PVC pipe because no matter what method you use it is a mess. So, when I saw this tool I ordered it right away. Now I am not a professional plumber and only do little DIY projects that I feel confident I can do. If I need more encouragement, I watch numerous YouTube videos before attempting it. I did not have a project in mind when I got this cutter but thought it would come in handy one day. I have plenty of scrap pieces of PVC in various sizes and though I would give this a try so that I could review it honestly.First of all it arrives in a cheap flimsy cardboard box and had an extra blade included. It is all metal and feels solid and sturdy and should last a long time. Not sure if you can sharpen the blade when it gets dull, but I don't see why not. First attempt was to 3/4" PVC pipe and was not great. Cut was clean, but not straight. Have seen this complaint in many of the reviews, so I don't think it was something I was doing wrong. Second attempt I decided to put the pipe in my bench vise and try to get closer to a 90 degree cut. Yes it was better, but not quite straight still. I next tried 1 1/2" PVC with same results. Very clean cut, but not straight. I think the reason is because you are cranking the ratchet and your hand does shift. However all is not lost there is a way to make the cuts straight. If you place the stationary handle of the tool in a vise( using soft silicone or rubber jaws) you can hold the pipe steady with one hand and push down the ratchet handle with the other hand to cut. If no vise you can lay it on a flat surface and do your best to not move when making the cut. The vise works the best though. It takes a few practice cuts to get it straight, but I have found the table saw with a sled or a chop saw to still work the best, but they are both messy. For small plumbing projects for the DIYer this should work well enough. I am not sure this tool would hold up to daily or professional use.

Great Product and Great Value
I've been doing plumbing for almost 50 years. PVC pipe is pretty common for DWV applications. My ratcheting pipe cutter was recently stolen so I decided to give this product a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality of construction of the Thinkwork PVC Cutter to be very good. I did not find any defects in the cutter I received. I got the 1 5/8" size cutter since I use that size frequently for terminal connections to devices with 1 1/4" drains. I also cut a lot of PEX tubing in various sizes as well. This pipe cutter does a great job on all of these applications. If you are cutting 2" or 1 1/2" PVC then get the larger size cutter. You can see the quality of the cut in the attached pic. It is an excellent cut and it was easy to make. I tested the blade swapping feature and it works just as described. The extra blade that comes with the cutter adds value to this product above competitive products at the same or higher price. The safety lock and the ratcheting mechanism work well. I did not test the 2" product, but I would assume that the construction quality would be identical to the 1 5/8" version.Value wise I give this product high marks. The Thinkwork Cutter is priced very competitively with name brand big box store products. The extra blade makes this an especially good value. If you need the 2" product, it only comes with one blade, but the price is well under the competition and makes it an extremely great value as well. If you are in need of a PVC pipe cutter, I can highly recommend the Thinkwork PVC Cutter in either size.
