I bought it primarily for running and whilst it is a little bit heavy, it certainly lights up the trails when I have been running off road in the evenings.It comes with two rechargeable batteries and various leads to charge them. The only downside is the mains plug never seems to turn green to show the batteries are charged. Luckily my partner has a charger which I have been using to recharge the batteries. There seems to be good life in the batteries although I have only used the light on the first setting for about an hour or so each time and as I don't want to be running and have the batteries run out, I have recharged after each use.For the price, it is an excellent piece of kit.

I have owned a number of headlamps over the years, this is the best. Yes it's very bright and there are a lot of lamps out there that are also bright. This one however is also very robust. The wiring is as good as the expensive types and it is more comfortable when wearing it than any I have had previously and very light weight. I bought 2 of these and both chargers worked perfectly well, there was no sign of overheating at all. The rechargeable batteries are easy to get and not at all expensive. I use mine for sea fishing trips and these are perfect for the job. I still have a led lenser but the victpower is better and was less than a quarter of the price. This one really is a winning product and well worth the money.

Excellent headlamp. Comfortable to wear with a choice of four light modes; High power; Low power; Strobe; S.O.S. The light beams give ample view of the path ahead. The angle of the torch is easily altered, and the button to change the beams is easily accessible. The batteries were already charged on arrival, enabling immediate use. Charging the batteries can be done using either the wall socket and lead; the USB lead; or the car cigarette lighter and everything is provided. Walking the dog in the evening, involves holding a lead in one hand and my walking stick in the other hand, so carrying a torch is awkward. I have found wearing this headlamp is easier and more practical. I have only been using it for three days and I am really pleased with it. In my opinion, it is well worth purchasing.

I got caught out over the festive period when my trusty LED Lenser rechargeable headtorch battery gave up the ghost. Unable to source a new one due to a change of design, I needed a cheap alternative to use in work. I ordered it and it was with me in good time. Charging port is a bit fiddly and the initial charge took an age to get to capacity, however once charged, it was adequate for my needs. I spend 50% of my professional life working outside at night and given the cost of the item, I wasn't disappointed. The unit is fairly well made, although its longevity is not known (I had my LED Lenser for 2 1/2 years and it never let me down until the battery died.) Headband is a bit flimsy, but again, you get what you pay for. Light range and strength is ok. I'm happy to say Lenser replaced my old headtorch FOC as they were unable to supply me with a new battery, so this one will be a spare.

Works fine until it doesn't. both torches I bought died after charging for the 2nd time. Works when plugged in, but the batteries hold no charge.

Great torch, very bright and adjustable. However, the batteries failed after one charge, completely unable to charge them. Checked with a voltmeter, zero voltage, even after several attempts to charge via a wall charger and via a laptop USB connection.Beware, as the batteries can be unstable in this state (we left ours outside in the garden for safety's sake). Replacement batteries cost an arm and a leg too, as the torch doesn't take standard AA batteries.Shame, as the torch itself is excellent.

Excellent bit of kit this headlamp. It looks good. Feels firm and substantially made. Fits just right on my noggin. There are three light modes which I didn't expect. (Maybe I should have read the spec). Very bright for when you are working in dark places, bright for when you might need to read something in a dim place and flashing mode for cycling at night. Three charging cables as well: in car using cigarette lighter port, pc usb and traditional 3 pin socket adapter. I charged the lamp up in a couple of hours out of the box and have not had to recharge it yet after about three hours on bright mode. I actually bought a second set for my son because he's a cyclist too. Both of them were delivered the next day after placing the order. You can't get better than that. I would recommend.

A little slow to arrive, however, once received the torch was brilliant until I came to charge it by one of the three methods. The method I chose was the USB cable which I firstly inserted into the battery pack at the rear of the headband. On insersion smoke bellowed from this unit at which point I removed the plug from the unit. The torch no longer works. I must stress that the USB charging cable had not been connect to any power supply when this happened. Unable to get a response from Victpower directly or through Amazon. Despite this problem I would like a replacement as it was great for the short time it worked..
