Surprisingly Durable Plastic Plastering Hawk
I recently purchased the Draper Plastering Hawk, and while it's made entirely of plastic—including the handle—I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well it performs.Pros:1. Lightweight: The all-plastic construction makes it incredibly light, which is a huge bonus during long plastering sessions.2. Durable Material: Despite being plastic, it feels sturdy and has held up well to daily use without any signs of cracking or bending.3. Comfortable Handle: The plastic handle is ergonomic and provides a decent grip, even when my hands are slightly wet or dusty.4. Easy to Clean: The smooth plastic surface is easy to wipe down after use, saving me time at the end of the day.Cons:1. Not as Professional-Grade: While great for smaller jobs or DIY projects, it might not be the first choice for heavy-duty, professional work.2. Grip Could Be Better: A bit of rubber or texture on the handle would improve comfort and control.Overall, this is a solid choice for beginners, occasional DIYers, or anyone who needs a lightweight plastering hawk. It’s affordable, practical, and does the job well.

Has done me well so far
Works well, plaster clings to it well and is cheap. The only thing I don't like is the circle indent it the board which. Assume is there to help grip (?) but just makes it harder to clean. Not a big deal though, still worth the money.I like that it also comes dismantled so will be easy to take apart and store again when I'm done. Lightweight.

Plasterers Hawk
Just what I needed. Great value for money. Even though it’s made of plastic, it’s a quality item. Comfortable to hold and easy to use. Perfect size for holding a good trowel full of cement.

useful hawk but it's big.
I'm now closer to 80 than 70 so this was a good hawk i just had to not overload it as it would become heavy and tiring holding it after a while. It does the job so that good enough.

Lightweight and Reliable Plastering Hawk
As a beginner, this plastering hawk made my first experience with plastering walls manageable and enjoyable. Its 330 x 330 mm size is just right—not too heavy to handle, yet sturdy enough for the task. The ABS material feels durable, and the plaster spread evenly without issues. The callous protector handgrip was a standout feature, providing comfort during extended use and reducing hand fatigue. It’s a great tool for rendering and skimming, even for those new to plastering.Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable and lightweight plasterer’s hawk. Highly recommended for DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike!

Does the job.
The handle screws on solid and the plastic surface is perfectly rigid. Anybody should try a hawk even just for filling work as its a lot easier to take filler from a flat surface vs a tub, especially for larger jobs.I only knock a star off because I'm not a fan of the indented rings on the surface. They serve no purpose apart from making it harder to clean the hawk after use.
