We use this as an anti itch ointment. It smells great, and works immediately. It works on any bug bites. Very soothing. It also lasts a long time.

I love this stuff, and swear by it for bug bite relief. I've made a believer of everyone I've used it on.My shipment arrived just in time. The mosquitos are awful this year. I have not been bitten so many times, in such a short amount of time. Even when I have spent time outdoors in mosquito infested areas. Apparently, being a recent transplant to the area, I am extrememly sensitive to the bites because of lack of exposure to this particular species of mosquito.Most of the bites result in nasty blisters, and a few have even caused silver dollar-size bruising/swelling. Some were so bad, my fiance thought I got burned. The itching is maddening. Other brands do nothing whatsoever to relieve the itch. This stuff though, actually provides relief.Note: It sometimes takes a few minutes, depending on how bad the bite is.Reapply as needed.My only issue is the cost. A little pricey if you ask me. I only paid about $2 the first time I bought it. Granted, that was several years ago, but still. When Burt's Bee's products first came out, they were reasonably priced. In the last several years, I have noticed an incredibly inflated ego that has resulted in much higher prices. Guessing the original owner either died or sold out to a corporate company that cares nothing about giving good quality at a good price. Also seems like the product doesn't work quite as good as the first time I bought it, but it's still better than anything else I have tried.

I have sensitive skin which is almost constantly irritated for one reason or another. I suffer from allergies which give me rashes from using many conventional skin-care products (for example, I cannot use non-mineral chemical sunscreens or strong artificial fragrances). In addition, I have the ironic fate of being super tasty to biting insects and also highly reactive to their bites meaning I'll get 33 mosquito bites when my friends get 3, AND they itch like heck and raise a welt that can sometimes be the size of an egg. Lucky me. Last but not least, I also have an obsessive habit of chronically picking at my cuticles until they bleed. Oh yeah, forgot to mention I also bruise easily :-/What's a hyper-sensitive, neurotic girl like me to do? Why, get some Burt's Bees Res-Q Ointment, of course! This stuff is amazing and a godsend. It cures all that ails me. I also love the fragrance. It is naturally floral and not perfume-y or artificial at all. It has helped my bruises heal much quicker. It soothes the itching from bug bites and has significantly reduced the swelling. My poor, abused cuticles heal almost overnight. I make sure to apply Res-Q to my fingers last thing before bed every night. The natural allantoin contained in the comfrey accelerates healing by speeding the development of new skin cells.Yes, this ointment is a natural green color and does leave a slight hint on one's skin. But it's not terribly noticeable, especially if you rub it in well. The botanical base gives it a smooth, pleasant texture which is easily spreadable but not runny in the slightest. If one makes sure to rub it in until it dries, it will not leave a slimy, oily residue. This medicated balm can feel the tiniest bit tingly upon application, but it's very minor and nothing compared to Tiger Balm or Icy Hot.I can't rave enough about this product! It's an absolute must-have in my summer kit for when outdoor activities tend to bring out the worst in my skin, but is handy year-round for those unexpected bumps and cuts. I have Subscribed to the 3-pack to ensure there'll always be more of this stuff on tap so I'll never be without it from now on. One tin will live in my purse, one in my outdoor/travel gear, one by my bed, and another in my medicine cabinet. Love it!!!

Works well on big bits to help stop the itch, it’s a strong smell tho

I got a recommendation for using for this to reduce or eliminate the large weal that occurs when my child gets mosquito bites. It works great and would absolutely recommend if you’re sensitive to bug bites it’s worth giving it a try.

I've used the Regular Res-Q ointment for years, and the Res-Q with Cica for months. Both are very effective at what they do.

The media could not be loaded.  This Burt's Bees Ointment is a bit greasy and the smell can be a bit intense for my taste, BUT boy does it WORK WELL. It literally shrinks pimples overnight and really speeds up the healing process. I just apply it before I go to bed and I let it do its magic. It usually takes me 1 application for the pimple to fade and the swelling to go down (it takes about 2 applications for bigger pimples). To apply, I just slide my finger on top of the ointment without really pressing down and I apply it directly on the pimple (same way that I apply tin lip balms or tin lip butters). Since I only need such a small amount for each treatment, this tin will last me for a very long time. I wish I would have discovered this product sooner. Ottimo prodotto certo molto molto piccolo e per nulla economico anche se ne basta davvero poco. L’ho usato sul viso in un momento in cui la mia pelle era irritata, quasi bruciata da un peeling troppo aggressivo, l’ho messo alla sera sulle zone infiammate e il giorno dopo non avevo quasi più nulla, ha lenito e disinfiammato tantissimo nel giro di due giorni la mia pelle è tornata a postoEccezionale un balsamo multiuso da avere sempre in casa per tantissime situazioni, magari sarebbe carino poterlo trovare in una confezione più grande e tenere questo magari in borsetta o quando ci si sposta per pochi giorni
