I'd reccomend
Regardless of being cheap, it's a big block that doesn't run out that fast (coming from a crafter), not as heavy as I expected and easy to store.

My favourite clay
I love this clay, it’s my favourite to work it. It’s the perfect softness & doesn’t need much conditioning. Even once it’s fully dried you can go back and rework stuff. Does take some getting use to , to work out how to avoid cracking etc but honestly once you figure it out it’s the perfect clay.

Even the kids can use it!
This is great clay, I bought it for my 9 year old do do a sculpture for his homework project, he found it easy to handle and the excess in the pack didn't dry out (even though I accidentally ripped the packet) when we went on a weekend away, I left the top folded over and it was fine 4 days later! The only negative was the first bit we used dried out quite quickly, but I think it was probably enthusiastically overworked. There was some left over for my 5 year old to try, and she also got on well with it. It has dried to a lovely finish but we are yet to paint it.

A famously good product which it turns out also has amazing shelf life!
I bought this 18 months ago and have yet to use it, so why am I writ8ing a review. It's a very simple one. I think everyone buying this product knows of its quality, so not a lot of point in reviewing that, but what astonishes me is that after 18 months I checked it today and yes it remains unopened, but had it gone hard after all this time I would not have been surprised or thought negatively of that. It is as soft as the day it arrived! I am amazed. I really must use it though!

EXPENSIVE by the kilo. Good kids easy activity
I write this review based on my decades of experiences as a consumer and user of this type of itemLockdown amid the covid crisis saw my return to model making with clay such as this. The unique point of this product being no need for oven kiln or similar. All that is needed is time and patience.Straight from the pack, the outer side on every block opened to date is much harder than its core.Akin to the top of a newly opened jar of peanut butter. The centres are softer but do not go for it unless you want to add to waste.I got a suitable sized airtight container and added a little water after the end of each session giving the contents a damping down and encouraging a softer outer the next day.I have stuck to small amounts, ‘spreading’ the clay unto various silicon cooking molds. I now have lots of small flowers, fairies, numbers and letters to decorate doors windows and fairy houses with my granddaughter.I have been using golf balls ( found every day by my dog) saves expensive clay, to make a solid centre around which I build clay & which we then carve with our pointy and shaped lollipop sticks. All on a budget. In general terms it ca be shaped for about 10 minutes before drying out too much to be useable.Dries out solid enough to make a liquid latex mould overnight but give 24 hours. If you wish to paint your work of art. Let it dry out. Give it a cost of PVA, let it dry out again. Then paint with an oil / acrylic based paint.OVERALL. The small blocks are expensive and add to a lot of money quickly. I bought a 12.5 kg block for £12 delivered and used half, gave the rest away and saved a lot of money on the £5-6 a kilo price tag on Amazon. Stored properly it lasts.
