I highly doubt that you will be able to find a better washer catch pan than this piece of made in the USA perfection! I have a second floor laundry room (above the kitchen). I've always worried that I would someday experience water damage due to a washing machine or supply hose failure. That day came about two months ago. I've always had a pan under my washer. The pan connects to a drain line to carry any water away. So the questions is... "How did I get water damage if I've always had a catch pan with plumbing to carry the water away?" It's because all of the pans I've had in the past are plastic junk! I replaced the plastic pans several times. Every one of them cracked and split over time. Moving the machine in and out of the pan, an unbalanced load, or the plastic simply becoming brittle over time are all possibilities that can lead to failure of the plastic. When a hose on the drain pump manifold failed, the cracked plastic pan did nothing to protect my home. Luckily the Samsung washer I have is smart enough to stop filling if it doesn't sense water level rising is a set period of time. This prevented a non-stop flow of water from causing severe damage. I was also home at the time and immediately responded to the washer chime. This limited the damage to water spots in the ceiling below the laundry room. After fixing all of the damage, I knew there had to be a better solution. That's when I found this stainless steel pan from Killarney Metals! While the cost of this pan is a little steep, it will pay for itself the first time it saves you home from damage. It arrived about one week after placing the order, which was quicker than I expected. Upon opening the box, I immediately knew that my money was well spent. This pan is obviously constructed by metal workers that know what they are doing. The corner welds were perfect and their were no sharp edges, burns, or weld splatter anywhere. The top edge of the pan has the metal folded over which eliminates the possibility of sharp exposed edges while also giving a nice appearance. I've purchased hundreds of items on Amazon and this is the one item that stands out for exceeding my quality expectations. If you need a washer pan, and the dimensions fit your machine, I don't think you could find one better than this! If the dimensions of this pan are not adequate for your machine, look up Killarney Metals on the web. They have their own site that offers more choices and customization. Note on modification: I added some anti-vibration matting to the bottom of my pan. I was concerned that over time, with all of the vibration associated with a washing machine, fine debris would collect under the pan and scratch the laminate flooring in the laundry room. I also felt that it would prevent the washer pan from sliding on the floor. It was a worthwhile modification. I purchased two packages of Shop Fox Premium Grade Anti-Vibration Pad, W1322, ASIN: B000OQTV2I from Amazon. Two rolls is sufficient to cover the entire bottom of the pan. I purchased the appropriate spray adhesive at my local hardware store to attach the pad to the pan. Also, you will need to purchase the required plumbing fittings and a gasket to connect the pan to your drain line. Those were not included with the the washer pan. I am extremely satisfied with the finished project!

Very happy with this tray..After reading that the plastic ones tend to crack in a few years I didn't want to deal with that paid a little more than I wanted to but hopefully it lasts forever seems to be very good quality only time will tell.I wanted to add that this unit comes with one hole in the very back that faces the wall I did not want to recess the tray forward so I plugged the whole it came with.. so I could butt this all the way to the wall and I drilled a hole just like the one that came with but coming out of the sideTowards the back now my tree sits flush with the wall just like I wanted it to.

Bought this after purchasing a thin plastic pan which was damaged on arrival and very thin. This is of very sturdy construction and will stand up to the rigors of washing machine vibrations. I used screws, metal washers, and rubber washers to mount the pan to the floor and then ran pvc from the tray to the outside of the house. The hardware included is good quality as well. Reading about other people who have trouble getting a washer into a brittle plastic pan, I didn't have nearly as much trouble as I thought I would have getting the washer in the pan. Well worth the money and peace of mind.
