We make really great bass strings. We can't help it, it is just our thing. A big thanks to all of our dedicated customers who helped make this happen. Killer City Guitars Classic Medium 5's are the five-string variant of our popular four-string Classic 105's. The winding on these traditional long scale roundwound strings is constructed from nickel-plated steel wire, complementing the round core by adding a layer of brighter tonality while protecting against fret wear. The nickel plated steel offers long life and heavy durability. These strings can take a beating. *Nickel plated steel requires some breaking in before they achieve their peak performance.* These strings are a bridge through design and may not work with some body string through designs.

Killer guitar bass strings are as good as strings 3 times the price
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I’ve been playing bass professionally for over 40 years. I’ve always used the top 3 string makers strings.Your strings I just put on last night. The “piano sound” brilliance is what I look for ina round wound. Killer guitar bass strings are as good as strings 3 times the price. Bright w lots of round bottom. Great strings. The new machine is doing a killer job. Thank you!!Sandin wilson , gino Vannelli, Quarterflash, session bassist and singer, Portland, Oregon.

Good quality, sound, feel, price and service. Happy with this choice. Will be back for more.
I recently acquired a new bass guitar last October that had some dull strings, and after searching amazon for a new set of strings I came across this set. I was not familiar with the brand, but I figured I’d give them a try considering the low price. I received the set, strung them up, and they sounded good to me, pretty smooth on the fingers, nice full tone.I did contact the company, and the owner quickly responded (kind of impressive in today’s world) he was very responsive to my inquiry and I feel confident that I would do business with William and Killer City Guitars in the future.Update: It is now two months later, and the strings still have a nice full tone and snap to them, (in the interest of full disclosure, I don’t play everyday... but do play the instrument fairly regularly). If you are considering these, I would encourage you to give them a try.

Excellent product and a great value!
I just wanted to write to you to tell you how pleased I am with my new KCG bass strings. I purchased the 5-string 34” scale set – and then put them on my 35” Lakland 5502 bass. (They just barely made it to the nut, but they made it, so it’s all good.) I think they sound as good or better than the D’Addario nickel plated EXL-170s that I’ve been using for many years – not that those are bad strings, but the KCG are almost 1/3rd the price, and they have a nice fat bottom with the beautiful overtones that give it almost a “piano” sound. They are an excellent product and a great value! In fact, I like them so much that I've just placed an order for two more sets!

Buy these strings
So we’ve all quested for the perfect strings. I change brands often wondering if the grass is greener. I have to say I’m very impressed, so much so that I’ve started putting KCG strings on all my basses. The price is a completely different matter, I’ve paid 3x’s as much only to be 1/3rd as happy. My suggestion is to snap up as many sets as you can before this company comes their senses or the owner finally goes to rehab.

Bought these on sale, super deal
Bought these during a weekend sale. Tossed out the extra B string. The four string set KCG sells is always the best price, best quality. I've tried the $30 sets and there's always something lacking. Typically, on my Rickenbacker 4003, the Dunlop's and Ernie Ball's and what-have-you are either flabby or make the bass sound like a Telecaster. These strings, for whatever reason, are really down the middle in a great way. I play aggressively, kick their butts, and they don't lose much luster over several shows. Check 'em out!

Great price point for strings that are actually pretty darned ...
Great price point for strings that are actually pretty darned decent. Good feel, good voice, great response, bright and punchy with the woof you're looking for all at an amazing price. Been playing bass for 25+ years. Don't hesitate to get these strings. I will surely be ordering a dozen more sets for my other guitars.Packaging is also really good. Shipping times are also quite good. The one thing about these strings is that they'll take most of a few hrs to stretch. Been a few weeks and still SPOT ON!!!

Turns out they feel good and sound great
I bought these strings because they're cheap as hell, so I expected to receive some cheap strings. Turns out they feel good and sound great. Just put them on today, so who knows how long the brightness will last, but regardless, these strings are great for the price. There is nothing about them, aside from no frills packaging, that would indicate they're so cheap.Replace your bassist's DRs or D'Addarios and see if he notices. Folgers style.

Great tone, low price? YES!
Price aside, these are about to be my new favorite string. I play 5 string bass, not as much as in times past but, have been increasing the frequency lately (almost forgot how much I enjoy being called on to play and accepting gigs) and gotta tell you, these are wonderful strings. Playing mostly church settings, the styles range from finger playing to slap and these strings deliver great tone in either. I've spent considerably more on strings and did not always get the sound that these guys are delivering. I urge you, try them out and like me, you'll be a fan!
