Q: I am looking for a thermostats that has a lock so nobody can change the temp?

The thermostat can be locked. User would need a PIN number (set by you) to unlock.

Q: Is there a option to make the screen not turn on when I walk past it? If yes will it still be able to tell if I am home?

Yes, there is! I would assume since the option is labeled "Wake Display" that you are changing only the action of the display to either "When you pass by" or "When you press" and that the function of detecting motion is not changed. If you have a smartphone with Nest app you can also set the Nest to automatically detect if you are home or not base on the location of your phone! Cool or what!?

Q: Can it turn on/off rhvac emotely? how many different locations (homes) can the net app control remotely?

Yes, Nest Learning Thermostat can turn your HVAC on and off remotely on the Nest App. You can have up to three homes in total in the Nest app at any given time.
