Don't bother with this on a GoPro; okay for a DSLR
It's okay. Doesn't work with a GoPro (I have a 52mm filter adapter); even in Narrow FOV, you get some vignetting. In Medium or Wide, it's basically unusable. On my Nikon D5100 with the kit 18-55mm zoom lens, it's okay from 55 (full zoom) to about 30mm, wider than that and you see the barrel. The add-on is deeper (longer) than the picture suggests. Also, mine came with a blemish on the side, despite being brand new. Also came with a 49mm-52mm adapter not mentioned in the documentation, that confused me for a minute until I realized it could be unscrewed. At the longer zooms on my DSLR it works pretty okay (and lets me get a better zoom with a lower aperture), and for $7.50 it's worth keeping for that use alone.

If you have a DSLR and want an easy, lightweight way to double your lens ability and have a wide angle at the same time
Xit XT2X52 52mm 2.2x Telephoto Lens (Black)...this is what to order. When I had (still have) my SLR, one of my favorite "doo-dads" to never leave home without was/is my doubler.** It does exactly as it says, "doubles the capacity of the lens you're using." Back then (a whopping 15 years ago?), we had to remove the lens being used, attach the doubler to the camera base, then attach the lens to the doubler. Not a big deal but plenty of opportunity to drop a lens or for dust to get into the camera. This product, made specifically for a DSLR is much more user friendly as you just screw it to the end of your existing lens, and you're good to go. The only thing you *may* have to do is buy a coupling ring. I found that my UV lens worked perfectly and, since it's attached to the main lens, you'll only want a clear ring to protect the doubler lens. Or not. Your choice of course. (word of advice, make sure you're removing just the doubler and not the UV ring when changing back to the regular lens, otherwise it becomes something of a treasure hunt searching for the UV lens or coupling ring.As for using it as a wide angle lens, that's explained in the easy-to-follow instructions and may require referring to your camera's manual. This product is so easy to use and SO affordable, I've ascertained no reason to pass it up.(This is my second lens of this type ONLY because at some point I managed to lose the large mid-section. I looked in all of the logical places so I'm betting I'll find it in an illogical place.**This is also a wide angle lens so it's very affordable, easy to use AND a dual-purpose adapter. To use it for wide angle you may want to refer to your camera's manual. My DSLR is a Nikon D3200The adapter instructions, which I read all of this time, do say to set your camera to full wide-angle mode to avoid vignetting.

Good lens for use with my Beastgrip!
Bought this for use with my Beastgrip. Beastgrip is a product launched on Kickstarter that allows you to use external lenses with your smartphone. I have not had time to extensively test it but have had no issues so far.

Deceptive and low quality.
This thing is advertised as 2.2x and is at best 1.4. But that's not the worst, it has an incredible low quality. Besides the lens tself looks clear, when attached to a camera, creates a haze and a blurry image quality. I wont even return this thing since the ink of my printer and the time to go to the postal office is more valuable than what I paid for it and I'm sure they country on that to sell this junk.

fair for normal lense 55mm
terrible on 70-200 mm

You might just get what you pay for and nothing else
You get what you pay for in a cheap teleconverter.Lens has some flaws in the edges where it shouldn't matter much. The AR coating is minimal and functions minimally.Arrived with dust on lens and threads.

Decent 2.2x telephoto filter
I purchased this to use on my Sony RX100 V with a 3rd party 52mm threaded filter adapter. The lens on the RX100 is not intended for long telephoto shots, I was interested to see how far I could push it. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. This lens is not fantastic by any means but it does have a place in my camera bag; it would be a nice option at the zoo or somewhere else where the subject is at a distance. I took a few photos and will attach them to my review for reference. The first photo is a wide angle shot at 20 MP* to give a perspective on the starting position and the distance of the subject, the second shot is a 5 MP* photo with the maximum zoom (digital) that the RX100 is capable of, the 3rd shot is a 5 MP* photo at max zoom with the 2.2x telephoto lens added. The results are good; this lens is not something I would use for professional photos, but I would be happy using it for photos to share on social media or with friends and family. Overall, not a bad option for adding a little more reach to a lens.*On the RX100 V, zooming all the way in at 5 MP is like taking a crop of the full zoom at 20 MP. It produces a smaller image with greater magnification.

Very expensive doubler, distorts at edges.
This is very inexpensive, so it a good price for what it does. The lens definitely distorts at the edges and vignettes. Still increases focal length at a bargain price.
