Best Value I could find
For a homeowner who doesn't do plumbing every day, these worked very well. I used to run Pex in my basement for a bathroom install with this tool. I ran both 1/2 and 3/4 with it and it performed well for both. I have more to do, so I will update if any problems come up, but so far this is a bargain tool.Ahead of time, I test crimped a few to make sure it didn't need to be adjusted. I went ahead and put it on the tightest mode, and the gauge said they were good crimps. If you have any experience with a go/nogo gauge, then there was no confusion. I understand most people wanting more clear instructions, but I thought they were straightforward. the line on the gauge should line up with the centerline of the hose. any less you need more crimp, if it passes the line, and you need less crimp. Adjustments were easy with a wrench.Effort to use tool was not unreasonable. Sure, longer arms would make it easier, but I like the compact nature of this tool. Some general tips for running pex plumbing I learned along the way:-- I did not buy a ring remover, and I had to cut off a few rings. I used a large pair of wire cutters with some elbow grease, and it worked. I still wouldn't spend the money on a tool for removal, personally.-- PLAN you runs before you start crimping. One of the aforementioned cuts happened because I crimped a piece on, then realized I could not fit the tool where I needed it to crimp the next leg- This is ESPECIALLY important on 3/4" pex due to the location on the crimper.-- after crimping, you do have the ability to rotate the fitting, although, it doesn't seem like a great idea to do a lot of, it is nice to know.-- buy a few more fittings than you need, don't open them until you use them, return the excess. This would have saved me a mid-project trip to home depot. As cheap and simple as this was, I think I will run air lines in my shop with pex now that I have this.3 days in and no water leaks!

Very nice tool!
I was pleased with the quality of this tool. It's so easy to switch the jaws back and forth from 1/2" to 3/4". It has easy adjustments if you need to fine tune the squeeze. However, I had no need to do so as the factory setting passed the go - no go guage with one crimp.

So much better than push fittings!
Goodness these are miles better than push fittings. This tool makes it so easy to use crimp fittings instead, and the crimp fittings are so much cheaper. Plumbing jobs and repairs become so much cheaper now. And I find it even easier easier to crimp a ring than push a pipe when you're standing underneath it and no step ladder or etc.Highly recommend crimp fittings if you've been using push fittings!

Perfect for tight places.
Used it when I replaced a bathroom faucet in my rv. I needed to install some ball valves inline while joining the pex tubing. I didn't have much work space under the sink to maneuver many tools so the offset angle of the crimper came in handy. If you have a fair amount of hand strength, you will have no problems using this tool. The go/no go guide didn't show me I had a good crimp but I didn't buy the set for that. There really is not much you can do to make a bad crimp. Either you squeeze all the way or you don't. And if you don't, it's not going to work. After hooking up the water and leaving it on for several hours, I had no signs of leaks. What looked complicated to me several years ago now is fairly easy to do. The hardest part is contorting your body to get in tight places. The angled crimper sure helps when it comes to that. It took about a month for Amazon to get the product to me from China. That was not good but I've already let the seller know I wasn't too pleased with that. But I'm reviewing the product here, not the seller. If it performs in the years to come like it did my first time, I feel like I made a wise purchase. It comes in a small plastic case and will store easily in my rv Highly recommend.
