Great cheap inverter
I haven't tested if this can truely output 450w continuously nor how clean the sine wave is. This is basically overkill for my needs of around 200w, but it was actually cheaper than other lower rated inverters and has more features. I bought a couple other 300-500w inverters on Amazon that were $70+, they all didn't have temp sensor relayed cooling fan functions (they all had fans that would constantly run, no matter the temps) which is a critical req for my needs. I was very surprised that this unit is less than half the cost of the others I tried with 2x the features. I have an older laptop that is fairly sensitive to dirty ac wave lengths and was able to operate just fine with this inverter. The only con I found with this is that the max output of the USBC port that is supposed to output a max of 30w will only output 20w consistantly and temp peaked for a few seconds at 23w.Other issue is that you can't switch the status LCD info, it randomly shows the battery input voltage, AMP usage and temp.Despite the minor cons this is a great inverter for the price.

Power inverter
This power inverter is awesome

Works good for the money on a direct battery connection.
Got this to lower my CPAP in my rv. The battery is too far from my nightstand. But it works for powering my TV at the BSU tailgate well when connected direct to the battery on my truck.

Good value for the price
It's a decent little power supply. The only complaint is that there's no way to cycle through the data on the segment display when it is on. Mine cycles through the information when connected to 12vdc with the switch off. It seems to show only supply voltage when operating.

Advertisement is a lie!
Oh where do I being... first of all, this thing works, just not up to specs, and the specs are not what is advertised here either. It's ADVERTISED as 500W with 1kW surge. Right off the bat, the manual says 450W continuous and 500W peak power output. So keep this in mind, the Amazon page is 100% definitely lying. Additionally, the device claims to have a safety cutoff at 550W which will shut off the AC and produce a repeating 4 beep alarm. This feature "works", many times has it cut off my power and beeped at me, and the inverter is safe from harm.So what's the problem, besides this being a lower rating than advertised? Well, I never put a load on this inverter >500W, and yet the safety switch cut me off. Indeed, my watt meter rarely reaches 250W before the inverter shuts off. So it seems to me that this inverter not only has specs in the manual that are well below the advertisement, but its actual performance is once again well below the spec! But maybe it's my load that is somehow the problem? My load is a refrigerator that has a running amperage <1A, and startup rating of 4A. 4A * 110V ~440W. Plugged into a wall with my watt meter I see 420W maximum draw so it seems to be running up to spec. Already I trust this fridge a lot more than the inverter! But further investigation...Fridges are basically just compressors, which produce an inductive load. This can cause a low power factor (PF) which basically means the net wattage is unaffected but it causes a lot of push-and-pull and strains the power system, in this case the the inverter. I measured the PF to be around .85, peaking at 500VA, still within the inverter's specs.Long story short, this thing is DEFINITELY INCAPABLE OF DOING 500W! By the way, the provided cables are 12 AWG. 12 AWG is rated for a maximum sustained current of 20A, otherwise they get too hot. 20A * 12V = 240W. That's the maximum safe continuous power draw that the provided cables can do without overheating. Coincidence that the power off feature seems to cut power at about exactly that power draw? I don't think so. At least it's not a fire hazard... probably. I made my own wires for this after seeing the provided ones, hopefully I can use them on whatever replacement inverter I buy.

Solid purchase
Arrived on time, well packaged, in good working order. To test it, I ran it for over a week, constantly on while driving, running a dash cam, charging my phone (sometimes two) and charging my computer, with no failures. It runs quiet and fits perfectly in the floor, storage tray of my Lexus hybrid. Thanks!

Works great… when it’s not broken.
I’ve had this inverter for almost a year and a half. To sum up the pros and cons:Pros:-very convenient for traveling-has a 12v plug (cigarette lighter plug) in case your car only has one. This is nice if you have a radar detector or dash cam-has 2 plug ins that I use to fast charge my phone, iPad, and accessories-my favorite feature is that it can support a hair straightener. Great for those who are always on the go, running late, or just need a mid day touch up!Cons:-literally the only con is that I’ve had to fix this thing at least 7-8 times, because the wires end up breaking. This isn’t difficult, but it’s a nuisance when you need to use it and have to go to get supplies to fix it. I’ve repaired LOTS of wiring, on various appliances and cords, and never had anything keep snagging. I’ve used shrink wraps, and reinforced them with electrical tape, but due to the design the wires continue to break right at the base. If you have the ability to mount it, I would recommend it! I drive a sedan, so there’s really no place to, and it’s too big to fit in my middle console. I’ve also tried mounting it with tape on Velcro and double sided tape, but it’s too heavy. So it sits in my floor board.Hope this helps!
