Docs need improvement...

I love this case, I have two problems, one is mine, one is theirs. The documentation isn't super clear in some points but if you have bought any of the other C4Labs cases you know assembly is required. I looked at it for reference but the size of the document mostly made it pointless. I did some trial and error and ignoring everything and assembled it my own way and a little trial and error I got it together with a little bit of re-work.The problem I had was the case fans require GPIO 5v & ground and the PoE hat I got for it requires these and blocks the two 5v pins so I ended up replacing them. I ended up buying a 40x40x10 12v fan and used an external power supply to power it but it went from warm to cool with the two 12v fans and my dream of four Ethernet cables to power it all kind of went out the door but it is a very slick case and easy to adjust after you understand the workings.C- for documentationA+ for the (four) slot case once it was assembled. No regrets and happy with it!

Great Product, Difficult Assembly

Product works great. Does exactly what you need it to do. Keeps the Pi's cool, and is very sturdy once assembled. The only real negative is the difficulty of assembly. There is a video on youtube, but I found I reversed the pieces on the first couple steps (clear plastic inside vs, clear plastic outside); Since the inside of the piece could be on either side the instructions were unclear. My main suggestion would be to look at the final picture, and make sure the slots line up and the back part is all shorter on one side so the front pieces (with the fans) can slot on.There was an issue with one of the fans buzzing, but they manufacturer sent out a replacement fan which fixed that issue. Overall the products great, but the assembly instructions need work.

4 stack - low fan noise

assembly is not for the faint of heart - read directions twice - pseudo assemble first - then actually assemble - start to finish (COMPLETELY) took about an hour - do not overtighten - firmly tighten only

Great Value, Slightly Poor Design, Instructions are Horrible

Let me just say the case is sturdy and looks great when put together. I have two problems with the product though:- The slots for the Pis are not separated enough to allow for the connector for the fans. It makes it difficult to takes Pis in and out, has bent GPIO pins, and the wire for the fan frays from rubbing against the nuts on the Pi above it.- The instructions are horrible. They have great instructions on YouTube, but those don't include the fans.

Watch the video twice before you begin assembly.

I used this case to build to hold a six node Beowulf Cluster using the Pi 3 Model B. As others have stated, it is a project in and of itself to assemble. However, when it comes together it looks great and I would high;y recommend it given the price. The fans are almost silent but be careful with the wiring as it is extremely easy to bend the GPIO pins (especially when you are changing the connections from one node to another to find the best fit), or worse yet, damage the connection wires rendering the impacted fan inoperable. The bad news - I did break one of the prongs on the case and did damage one of the fan connections. The good news - I contacted the reseller and they sent me everything I needed to repair my self-inflicted wounds free of charge.

Horrible instructions, bad materials.

Instructions are horrible, better luck for a video on Youtube. While the concept is fine this takes the DYI to a next level of punishment.Plastic breaks easily so be careful not to push it hard or tight the screws too much. Be sure to look very well which wall side is which one, you could easily assemble incorrectly.I really wanted to like it, but just the assembly process with those provided instructions was awful and painful.

It was pretty good

For a basic setup, it's a pretty good setup. It took a while to figure it out and the instructions were a bit messy but overall it is pretty nice

One Star

Very unclear instructions for assembly. Cumbersome design.

Nice and solid !!

Much better than expected. Really easy assembly if you watch the video (link included). I also received all necessary heatsinks to fill 4 Raspberry Pi boards. This case really kick ass.The only problem is the custom fees (17.25$) because it was not "fulfilled by Amazon" when I bought it. I hate custom fees.

Compact & precisely cut

Love the challenge & the slight frustration putting it together. The cut is so precise, and the fit is very tight in-places. I broke a couple of edge bits putting it together. The ‘secret’ is don’t fully tighten all the screws until the case is fully assembled. The kit is generously provisioned with heat sinks screws and nuts. The instruction is fairly good but can be improved. The YouTube video helped a little. I would buy again if my Raspberry Pi farm grow.
