Classic 105 Medium Bass Strings with Solid Core for Fat Vintage Tones Coupled with Nickel Plated Steel Winding for Enhanced Brightness and Warmth

I purchased two packs of these strings, eta shipment was 5-7 days, but I received them in 4 on the day of my rehearsal to try them out. Supposedly USPS was supposed to deliver them on day three but there seemed to be an error. I contacted KCG, and within an hour I got a reply with positive vibes and very helpful information. The customer service was so amazing. Seller was willing to ship out two more packs my way. Luckily I received them before seller shipped out new orser to inform them they didn't need to. Very prompt customer service. Strings sound amazing for price point. Once back in stock, I'm going to buy 2 more sets just to have as back ups. Great tone, great feel, great sustain. Overall great business, amazing customer service, and product.This is coming from a player who normally uses and switches off between Ernie ball and DR sunbeams.Give them a shot, you got nothing to lose with strings costing over 20 bucks a pack now days.

Overall good quality and value. Good tone and sustain from these strings. My one complaint, shared by other reviewers as well, is the E string is too short for a Fender thru-body application. Had to feed the E string through the back of the bridge rather than through the body.

I ordered these just wanting to try a round wound string and these were a great sounding string and held their tune very well. Unfortunately they have no longevity. I had them on my bass for 13 days and at rehearsal yesterday, I broke both the E and the A string.... astonishing! My bandmates were as surprised as I was. Not sure if this is the nature of roundwounds but needless to say, I'm disappointed. William at KCG was awesome, he informed me that that was not normal and sent me a couple sets of replacement strings, what a stand up guy!

I was disappointed in these strings. The G string was dead out of the package and lacked brightness. Also the E A D strings dId not resonate properly. They had less volume and brightness than the Ernie Balls I usually play. I thought it was the battery In my bass at first, so I replaced the battery. The sound from these strings was weak and lacked volume. I have never experienced anything like this from the hundreds of pairs of strings I have purchased. I put my normal brand name strings on and the sound was loud and full. Maybe I got a defective pair, but these strings were unusable.

If you ever bought a cheap bass from China then you know what I mean about volume. Not saying that they are terrible. They are well made and will do the job in a pinch..have a good tone just have to turn your amp up. It's like the strings are missing metal for the pickups to react to. It was 10 bucks so I'm not hating. Shipping was fast for not being prime. Overall From my experience I can't recommend them. Will have to spend the money for new strings. I can't even use them for a backup because if you change one string in a pinch the volume would be half of the old strings. Maybe work better on an active bass.

I purchased this set because I was looking for strings that were affordable since I change my strings regularly also I play Death Metal and I need strong strings that are bright but also are able to withstand frequent use. I decided to try these out and after more than 10 gigs and lots of rehearsal time, they are still crisp. heavy and feel great. I used Fender strings for years but no more. I will continue to Killer city strings, way more crisp, stronger and much better priced. Don't hesitate to buy these strings, you can't go wrong. I highly recommend.

Great tone and neat product. Just strung them up and I feel 100 percent better. Very Nice strings. I love the way they sound and the body in the tones I'm getting. Not average strings. The description on Amazon for these strings is accurate, they do have a nice vintage tone. Great company. thanks

I like these strings for their bright and lively sound. This is the second set I have purchased, and they make my low-end P-bass lookalike sound and play like its more-expensive Fender cousin. The strings were a little short for my bass' full-size 34-inch neck, so it was tricky to get a full turn and a half on the endmost guitar tuning post. A great bargain, otherwise; I recommend them to those who only play bass occasionally ,and don't want to spend a lot for their hobby. But these are quite good enough for a pro too. They hold their brightness and stay in tune even when jamming to hard rock songs all night.
