I just had my driveway replaced and after getting the back fill dirt put in, I needed to reseed my yard. Although this sprinkler would not do the job on a huge area, I needed to be able to keep specific areas damp. And this does the trick.

I've ordered a few of these over the years. Here's some of what I've found1) heavy metal, good.2) the bottom is glued on or pressed into place. If left on lawn and it freezes with water hose still on (eg hose is still attached) - the bottom can be forced off as water freezes and expands.3) it is not a square, but a diamond shape. Try pulling the hose and you will find that a corner, not an edge of a square is pointing at you.4) there is a similar one (red) with a solid bottom that costs a little more, is a bit heavier, and the bottom is not glued on.

The spray is very uneven from 1/8" on one area to 1" to the opposite side. It also leaks at the bottom of the device, poor welding.

This is a spot area watering device that is cheap and easily replaceable if it degrades or gets broken. Works well and does the job.

I needed a sprinkler that would reach into the corners of my square yard. This fit the bill. Metal and heavy weight that I don't need to stake it in place. It is small, but you adjust the coverage by how much you turn the water on. I would have given it 5 stars, but a bit overpriced.

The spray from the sprinkler covers a fairly broad area - about 20x20' - but it doesn't go very high, which l especially like. Because of this the wind doesn't catch the spray & blow it away. The spray pattern isn't exactly square, but it's pretty close
