Love that the J box is separate and the light plugs into it, which makes it easier to install, I'm used to holding the light on the ladder, wiring it up. Now we can hook up the wiring, then plug in the light and slip it in place, huge time saver.Looks great and love the multiple light color and brightness options!

Works great. It was easy to install during a room remodel. Fit right into the ceiling grid of our basement ceiling for a flush overhead lighting option.

I purchased 10 of these for our commercial building. They are OK. my biggest gripe is the packaging. Not enough cushioning on the corners and MOST of them showed up with dented in corners. The price is better than most places but they will get mishandled by the amazon drivers and show up damaged. This could all be fixed by proper packaging. As far as look goes, they are great. Install is easy and they are bright. Being able to switch warmth AND brightness is nice.

Being in the maintenance business it’s always good to have a where you pretty much can get everything you need to get the job done.

I ordered 10 of these. I've opened four so far and ALL have bent corners. One is bent so bad I can't use it. I shouldn't have to open and inspect each box before taking it to the job site. I am not running a body shop! Trying to straightening the steel (and the paint cracks) shouldn't be part of the installation.Lithonia certainly went cheap on the boxing of these lights. Foam corner protectors (like most other manufacturers use) would solve the problem.I've learned my lesson, step up your game Lithonia. This is just sad.

This unit is light weight making it easy to handle and manipulate into an existing drop ceiling. Wiring is standard and easy enough to do as long as you have enough room above the grid. If you were trying to install this in a tight space with floor joists, it could be a problem. I like that you can adjust the lumens and color temperature. Being light weight, it is a little flimsy and the hooks that hold it in place to the ceiling grid bend very easily. I would recommend this as an easy upgrade to an older style fixture.

This lamp is a good example of the generally true old adage that you get what you pay for. In contrast to some of its less expensive (and definitely lesser quality) competitors that I rated unsafe back in April and June of this year, this lamp is well made and much safer. The place to look is the wiring box where 110 v connects to the lamp. In the cheaper competitors I showed in my reviews that the top of their wiring boxes could be leveraged off with very little force (e.g. the weight of a 16 gauge wire). With those lamps a 6 gauge wire or a gas line pulled over your drop ceiling (as I've had done) could easily rip the wiring box apart, exposing dangerous voltage into the metal framework of your drop ceiling. With this Lithonia lamp, the wires would stay secure. I've lost track of the images I posted for the older reviews or I'd have uploaded them here, but I have attached some images of the wiring box for this lamp to show how well it's made. Along with the wiring box, all other aspects of this lamp are also well done (with one exception noted below). All of the metal work is strong enough to endure a typical installation, yet light enough to not bring your drop ceiling down on your head. The LEDs and the controller are very nice. You've got three different warmth settings and three different brightness settings through switches mounted on the wiring box (no remotes to lose here). That's very handy for matching this light to any others you may already have installed, as well as giving you a preferred setting. In my setting I'm going with bright, cool, but your needs/tastes may vary. The one issue I have with this lamp is the mounting of the diffuser. You need to slip it under channels on the lamp that run along the long edges of the diffuser. The thing just would not stay put. I finally got it to stay, but when I returned to pick up the lamp it popped out on its own. I'm not going to take a star off for this because I expect the diffuser will eventually conform enough to its installed bent shape to stay in place. But expect some annoyance initially. I was about to start using some painter's blue tape to hold it in place for a while on my early attempts. You may find the need to do that.

WOW this unit is built very well. So well it was shipped in only the retail box and it still arrived in perfect shape - amazing for a light fixture this large, the package protected it from UPS so great job Lithonia.I ordered this specifically as I love LOTS of light in my office, work zone, photo studio and this does not disappoint at all.I did not mount directly to ceiling. I took the advice of another reviewer as, like him, I want access to the box to change the lighting temperature at will, I hung it a bit down and put the control box where I could reach it fairly easily.I am SO happy with this light. Almost looks like the sun is shining in here..
