Perfect for realtors
These little gadgets are awesome for labeling keys. I gave it four stars instead of five because when they shrink, they shrink "most" of the way so that the top and bottom edges stick out a bit. Also, it's difficult to keep them on the right spot on the key while you are dunking them in hot water to shrink.Other than that, I LOVE that I can write on them with a sharpie before shrinking. It makes labeling keys for all my different listings a breeze, especially when there are multiple keys for one house like a shop, garage, house, and shed or something like that. They are easy to use and the writing is clear when it shrinks. Awesome!

Good for key control.
These have done a good job in marking my keys so I do not have to fumble at the door finding the right one. They are made of a heat shrink plastic that is easy to apply. Just put the sleeve over the key and dip it in a cup of hot water and it shrinks to form around the head of the key. While I like them and would purchase again, I would prefer to get the little plastic rings that go around the outer edges of the keys. That being said, these are good and do the job admirably.

They work.
These work, and are easy to use and seem like they will stay on my keys. However, they look kinda cheap/cheesy.I dont really mind, since they are just used so I can easily tell which key is for my garage and which is for the front door, since they are identical in looks otherwise. You can write on them too if you want, but I just use the color to identify which is which. They do shrink very easily, and fit to your key. They just arent stylish, more functional.

Best for jagged edged keys
I love these but they only work on keys that are not square or round. Easy to write on. I suggest using pliers to hold the sleeve on the key where you need it and then dip it in the water. Does not work for small keys.

Great product, read below for modified "installation" instructions
I love these sleeves! I have the most organized keychain at work now :). By the way, I applied them a bit differently from the package directions, and it worked really well, so I wanted to share here:First, put the sleeve on the key, and center it nicely on the widest part of the key. Then, put the key in a mirowave-proof glass container (I used a 2-cup measuring cup) and fill with water so that the key is COMPLETELY covered. (Note: for those of you who are worried about microwaving metal, I'm a physics instructor, and I promise you it will be OK as long as the water totally covers the key.) Microwave until the water begins to vigorously boil. Stop the microwave and let sit for 5 minutes before draining out. Voila! And, I probably can't claim that my keys are the *most* organized at work, since several of my colleagues have since seen them and I have been kind enough to share the extra Key-Write ID Sleeves with them as well :) ...

Very poor quality tubing
The idea is great but the quality of this product is garbage. The shrinking ability is 25% at best so unless you're using this on very large keys it will not conform to the shape enough to hold. Then it cools and expands back again so it slips off.I used a heat gun, on low setting, high melted the first in seconds. I use a heat gun on wiring harnessing every day so I'm not a DIY idiot. This is not worth even a few dollars. Just get a key ring tag instead.

Excellent and durable labels
These work best on the "contoured" key head (see the white key on the label) as opposed to the hexagonal key heads because they can shrink around both sides of the curve and grip well, but as long as you keep them in place while you shrink them down on the hexagonal heads, you'll have a really well-attached label. I would just position the band around the key head and then (again for the hexagonal keys -- it's not necessary for the contoured ones) use a small plier to hold the key and band by the inside of the keyring cutout and dip it in a mug of hot water microwaved to a boiling state. Just make sure you leave the keyring cutout relatively open, but as much as possible keep the band centered around the widest part of the key so it will grip.I tried to pull one off after it was cooled and was surprised how well it resisted.Used industrial sharpies to label. They do wear/smudge with time but work well enough.

Great purchase
I originally complained to Amazon that I had only received one of the sets, when I had ordered two. While discarding the packaging I discovered the 2nd set was mixed in with the paperwork on the order, which contained two other items. Shame on me. Anyway, these little sleeves are a great invention and work very well. I have tried one on one key so far, and it does seem a little big, so I will have to trim it down a little. They seem a little big for your average size house keys, so trimming may be necessary. I also recommend an extra fine point sharpie pen or something similar to label the keys as the fine point sharpie writes too large. Again, my apologies to Amazon and "Home And Life" for complaining about only receiving one set, when I actually received the two sets I ordered. I DO RECOMMEND THESE KEY SLEEVES IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS FINDING THE CORRECT KEY. The multiple colors will also help in identifying the key you need!!
