FTDI Programming Cable and Remote Control for Uniden Scanner USB-1 Replacement

Worked great right out of the bag on my BCT15X Windows 11

The drivers for this are the Prolific FTDI drivers you can find online. I spent a long time trying to identify the chipset but after opening it up and identifying the chip, I was able to locate the correct driver for it. The cable works flawlessly and has been service for about a year without any issues. I use it for my scanner to monitor serial data coming in. It has not let me down. Which these cables were cheaper though.

This does the job, but it took me an hour to get the laptop to talk to the cable. I had to dig for a driver for it and even paid for a subscription to a driver app, but finally found one. It also took a while to get the right (USB) port number set up. Otherwise it has worked flawlessly since the initial setup.

Worked great connected to Mojave MacBook Pro using Parallels Windows 10 Virtualization software and Uniden Bearcat BCD396XT for programming and control via ARC XT Pro. Sometimes Mac needs a reboot to get everything talking to each other but it's reliable after that.

Simpler than messing with serial adapters. Works fine for me in Win10Home on a Lenovo tablet I use pretty much just for radio programming — I don't use a Windows computer, so not sure what if any limitations... Seems well put together and sturdy, but my use is light and occasional.

Worked perfectly on my Uniden scanner. I’m useing Windows 10 with freescan and didn’t have to manually download any drivers. Plugged it in and windows had it running in seconds.

Was EXACTLY what I needed. Worked right away. I plugged it into my laptop and it recognized it right away and updated drivers. Soon as it was done I plugged into my BCT15X and uploaded my stuff with out issue. Was not a selling point about the lights but now I see them in action I love knowing it is working.
