Best damn brake tool I've ever used... I love this thing
On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, this thing is a 10 star... I change brakes for I think every single person I've ever met. Not really but I definitely do at least 15 brake jobs a year for friends and family for free. I just used this tool today for the first time and I have never had such an easier time doing brakes... As a matter of fact I'm ordering a few more of these tonight too. Just in case something happens to the one I already have. I've got so many different brake tools and this one is by a million times my favorite. And I think it's cheap as hell for what you are getting...I now have 3 of them, because the first one worked so good. I've been changing brakes for the last 34 years and have never looked forward to it. I just did it to save money and help other people save money. Even though I have the impact and all the tools necessary to make it easier. I just never liked doing it for whatever reason. Lazy? Idk... What I do know is that I'm excited now and I can't wait to do brakes again... No more large C clamp for me anymore. Yes I also have the other specialty tools but nothing even comes close to this thing... The quality on this tool is definitely superior to most others... And yes it's heavy duty. I just used it on my 2015 chevy tahoe ltz with the max brake package and it was so easy to push the large dual pistons all the way back. My 3 yr old granddaughter could have easily pushed those pistons back with this tool... Yes its that easy that you will do it with one hand and the other hand holding the caliper... No problems at all, not even a hint of trouble. I should have changed my pads sooner though because I waited so long that the pad was gone and I screwed up my rotors. That's how much I disliked doing brakes... I had the pads for almost a year waiting for mine to go bad... No excuses other than I just didn't like doing brakes until now... I just included a picture of just one of my socket drawers for those who may think that I'm just a guy with very few tools who doesn't really know what I'm talking about... I am a huge tool guy... I have just thousands and thousands of dollars worth of tools.

One time use , worked wonderfully once then broke
The media could not be loaded. I bought the standard bdity I used this to push the caliper in on an 02 town and country mini van. It worked great I was able to push it back using my left hand (I'm right handed) while holding a phone recording in my right . When I backed it off the part on the end just fell off, it couldn't handle the tiny amount of force..... watch the video see for yourself. Great idea horrible design. ( Yes I know not to hang a caliper by the brake hose, I replaced the lines after I did the pads.)

Backward design. Brakes easily under small load
I wonder what was engineer who designed it thinking... Why put threaded flange behind the plate instead of the front?.. Because the way it is done it just rips off. First time I tried using it on one stubborn cylinder this thing broke. Of course I was able to put flange in front of the plate and still use this thing but I fail to understand why not to do it from start and avoid braking altogether...Super simple and straight forward modification and this tool would never brake, or maybe that is the point?..

Tool works as expected
Used this to replace pads and rotors in 2008 Camry. The tool is simple and does the job. One can use C clamp to compress the breaks but this tool works just as well and if C clamp can't be fitted this tool will fit since it goes where brake pads go. Tool is well make and using one of the old pads the caliper can be pushed in very simply. Would recommend it if you work on your brakes yourself.

Simple and functional
I used this to assist with the replacement of the rear brake pads of my 2013 Audi S4. Once the electronic parking brakes were retracted using a Foxwell NT614 ODBII, it was easy to push the piston back to accommodate the new brake pads. This tool is not required, but it makes it easier.

Works better than “C” clamp
As with all car work, having the right tools can save you time and aggravation. This light and cheap tool works great by pushing back the caliper piston. I used a C clamp before, but it is big, heavy and hard to control. This little tool did the same job as the C clamp but just faster. For the price of a couple of premium coffees, this capris tool is a great buy.

Works as intended, would be much better with a larger knob or either 3/8" to 1/2" socket head.
Worked "fine" with my Golf GTI's calipers. Quotes because it is actually VERY hard to get the piston started if it is extended too far - common if pads are nearing the end of their life.I actually had to use a pair of groove joint pliers to get it started and through the first few revolutions - at it was still hard! It would be great if the knob was removable would reveal a 3/8" or 1/2" square socket or any hex-head that would allow you to use a ratchet or wrench with. After you get it started it is definitely workable using the knob.Perhaps too much to ask for at this price. Still glad I had it.

I cant believe that I have not had one of these until now
This review is for the Heavy Duty model. It was much easier to use than a C clamp on my recent single piston brake job, I am sure there will be a bit of fumbling with a dual piston setup and having to use an old pad to compress them both at the same time but not more than with a C clamp. Only downside - knob is plastic, I think the socket head that sticks up through the top of the knob is actually the top of the screw and is metal but the knob appears to be plastic which is always a risk for stripping out on a really tough job. But at least if it does strip out you still have the option of the socket head where you would not on other models. Although with how easy it was to turn the knob and compress the piston, I dont see it ever happening. As far as its stoutness, its not quite as heavy as I thought it would be but it sure worked well and I dont see it ever getting pushed past its limits. All in all I think it was worth every penny and is a great addition to my toolbox.

So helpful for brake jobs
Really wish I had this tool years ago for brake jobs. So easy to use, recesses the calipers so easily, without the need to fumble with clamps. The only thing I wish was the the end of the unit was a flat surface instead of me needing to go find a flat piece or using a brake pad. Not major, but sometimes I'm just doing a service, not a replacement, and don't want to damage the existing pads.

A good little tool to have in your brake tool arsenal.
I used to push the pistons back in with C-clips vise-grips before having this but this is more precise. The just need to make the handle bigger and covered in rubber to have more torque. I use a wrench with a rubber band to turn the handle and it works great. At 10$, it is worth it. Now, if the could also make a 2 screw adjustable version for dual piston calipers, it would be great.

Not suggest to purchase
Service from seller is not bad, but not a good item for use. Pulling back the break is hard and I break it when I install the first tire. And it's really hard to pulling back

Very useful
Very useful product to expand cylinder when changing brake pads. Be careful with electric emergency brakes. Follow the appropriate service manual.
