Awful!
This will work well as a thumb drive, but it is the most user-unfriendly device I've ever used. The user interface is totally counterintuitive and very confusing. There's just no reason something that should be very simple has to be so difficult. You're much better off getting a different mp3 player!

Poorly built, clunky navigation
I purchased this MP3 Player to use to listen to music while outdoors or at appointments. The player arrived packed in a clear plastic box and had the player, a set of headphones, charging cable and audio cable. The player is small, fits in the palm of your hand and is lightweight. It was easy to add music using the charging cable from my PC to the MP3 Player, but I will say that the data transfer was a bit slow. There are quite a few issues with the player itself. It was not durable, it was used once before the top fell off, while it does pop back on and is usable the on off switch is very difficult to move. After 3 uses the bottom and the top fell off and the player itself just fell apart. There are supposed to be 2 screws in the bottom, there was only 1 and it was not properly screwed into the unit itself. When playing it for several hours you might notice that the battery heats up and therefor the player will get warm. It's not extreme, but it can be noticeable. The software is not very user friendly at all. You use the Menu (up arrow) and left and right arrows to navigate and the center is supposed an enter function. There is no way to create a play list at all so you must either put all your music in one directory, or, if you want to pick specific music put them in individual sub directories and try to navigate to them upon start up. The problem becomes very apparent when you want to switch from one folder of music to a different one, it's pretty much impossible to do because once you are in a given folder you are given new options such as repeat and not any options to go back down to the root directory short of turning the player off and then back on again and starting over.It appears that any given menu is very specific such as settings, once in there you are stuck in that area, trying to find volume at times is a pain and while there is a built in equalizer it always seems to reset back to the normal option once the battery has run down. The same can be said for any other setting, including time, but it does maintain it's language setting.Another issue is that while charging the player you can not listen to music, you have to wait until you stop charging to even listen, not a super huge issue but the battery life is only about 4 or so hours after full charge and I tend to listen for more than 4 hours at a time which was the sole reason I was looking for a dedicated player as opposed to using my smart phone. You also have to be careful if you do not actually turn the player off it will continue to run down battery life even if not playing music. The player as an auto sleep style function where the screen does go black after a short bit and if you want to go to the next song, skip a song or do any menu functions it does require an extra step with pushing buttons.Sound quality was good but was based more on the headphones used than the device itself. The earbuds that it came with are incredibly cheap plastic and have poor sound quality in general. I tried various earbuds and headphones I had before settling on a higher end pair.I could not get the radio to work, either it simply was broken or I didn't have reception no matter where I tried. The video playback was just OK, it's a small screen so I wouldn't suggest it for watching a video or even reading an e-book. The voice recorder is OK but probably not something I would use so I didn't spend a great deal of time with it, my focus was solely on playing music.I think overall it's very poorly manufactured and the whole interface is very clunky to work with.
