I needed something to use at my cube to prevent my mic from picking up my teammates voices during con calls.After some modification, this should do the job at about half the price for a drum mic shield.They really should sell the accessories so this can be done without modding the original components.

If you're looking for a heavier-duty mic stand, look to spend more than $30-40. I tried it just to see what I could get. The actual stand says it holds 3lb, but it's straining under the weight of a studio condenser mic. It's not bad, if you've got a little project studio in close range to the vocalist/singer, but for my application, and perhaps others, it's not sturdy enough, the arm doesn't extend far enough and would not work for my studio long-term. For $39 I had to try. Will probably keep as a back up for another studio. Good seller, good product for a smaller studio application.

dampens noise pretty well. recommend for beginners.
