Too Fragile for Marine Use
Love the attachment mount to go on our deck rails - but the lens is way too easy to knock off when moving things around deck or getting on/off the boat (primary purpose for us - to light up our ladder when on a dock). And what happens when the lens gets knocked off? It goes to the bottom of the water.Great concept, but needs more than a standard household attachment for the lens.

Works great!
love these lights. Replaced the mounting hardware with bolts and wing nuts so that I can remove from the boat - or move around the boat - more easily. I also ended up glueing the inner sleeve in so I wouldn't drop in the water

Wait a minute...I bought the SolarKandle version of this light
Okay, everything I said about this light...mistake! It just looks exactly like the SolarKandle, the one I bought three years ago.Buy that one instead of these three...that should have been the clue, they are offering three for the price of one SolarKandleI've used this on my 30' foot sailboat mounted on my stanchion for 3 years, and have been thoroughly satisfied. I don't know about the negative reviews, but I've been hard on this little beauty and it's taken the abuse and kept on twinkling on the side rail. I've got it caught in sheet lines, left it on for years at a time, and it's out there right now absorbing sunlight. The mounting is strong and adjustable and the light is just the right brightness, that it lights up the deck step, and not too bright that I have to turn it off when sailing at night. This comes highly recommended from a coastal and offshore sailor.
