Works well for photos
Perfect for what I needed it for! I was looking for a macro shot of it and it worked out beautifully. Note: I did not use the Petri dish that came with the kit (I had some larger glass ones) nor did I use the magnets that came with it (I had stronger ones available).

Great quantity of ferrofluid for the price
The one-ounce container of ferrofluid is more than enough if your child has a school science project or if you want to have some fun. However, please do not use the included petri dish, as it's too small and the only thing keeping me from giving this product five stars. The ferrofluid will easily migrate out of the included dish and stain anything with which it comes into contact, so wear gloves and goggles.

Good quality ferrofluid!
Great flow and magnetic properties to this fluid! I tried making my own for some projects and it did not go too well. This stuff works great! No issues at all.

Scam
Zero Stars, one star only because you have to select one.Don't waste your money. This is no more a ferro-fluid than I am the Pope.It acts like used motor oil.I am returning it.The Magnets you see here a 1-1/2" X 2", very powerfulThe fluid was placed in a vacuum-sealed bag and then sealed. As you can see, the fluid is not attracted at all, and does not create any magnetic field pattern.

Solid stuff when magnets are huge and powerful, dont use ferrite magnets - not strong enough.
2oz is actually quite a bit. Good stuff, reacts with magnets and may be good for injecting into the bum of a security guard to free your human magnet friend. I'd say don't actually get this on anything, as it really stains the crap out of your hands/clothes/cat. For extra fun suspend it in about a 70/30 rubbing alcohol/distilled water solution. If you suspend it in 100 alcohol, it separates from the oil suspension and becomes these little black chunks that will be like the worst paint you've ever gotten on your hands. I made the mistake of dumping it in my white bathroom sink and then touched the chunk. It promptly stuck to my fingers and turned them black. I then tried to wipe it out of the sink which was wrong and it spread like a strange paint. Needless to say, the only thing that got this off my hands and sink was more rubbing alcohol and determined rubbing (heh).Get some bottles and make some 'Dwarfs in a bottle' and wow your anime friends with your amazing living Dwarf. Just no soul sucking.

Messy messy
What a mess this stuff makes! The two magnets were shattered inside the package somehow, useless now.
