The teaching/demonstration lucet is made to do just that---teach and demonstrate lucet braiding when distance makes following the demonstration difficult with a regular lucet. Althought the teaching lucet is widely used in class or shop demonstrations, it is not suitable for everyday braiding. A Lucet is a tool used to make strong cord or braid. Dating back at least to the medieval period, it is perfect for making color-coordinated laces, drawstrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Lucet cord is far superior to I-cord...and lucet braiding is far less "fiddly" that knitting I-cord. Lucet cord making is a great on-the-go project.
