Dehumidifier
I love this portable dehumidifier. It works great and easy to empty. We bring it to our cabin to put in our bedroom as it is humid there. When at home it’s on full time in the summer in our basement. It works great even in a large open space. Very light weight. I empty it every day in the summer. Does not smell at all. Collects water well. Easy…just plug it in. Doesn’t seem to use much energy. Would recommend and buy again.

Died in 2 months, but had free replacement with warranty
We us this in our 21ft. travel trailer while in storage (Alabama, e.g. VERY humid). Keeps humidity in the safe range (~50%) when it most humid out (summer). First unit died after about 2 months. I received a replacement under the initial 1 year warranty, then was offered an additional year warranty for my troubles. The package does not state what operating temperature range is, but I think the heat inside the camper may have killed the first one. I am only running the 2nd one while its not too hot (overnight up until Noon) with a timer and it hasn't missed a beat.

Silent - Great for Bedrooms and Closets
I absolutely needed a dehumidifier in my bedroom but was concerned about size since I have a very small room. This unit is perfectly sized, think the size of a Keurig Mini as a reference. When I plugged it in, I was impressed with how quiet it is when running. I almost thought it wasn't function at first since it was so quiet. You won't notice it at all, especially if you have other ambient noises in your room such as a fan, air cleaner, or HVAC on. Quite impressive! There are no settings - only on or off. Once you reach a certain humidity level, it will not be as efficient with pulling additional moisture out. You will notice the tank fill much quicker when your room is at higher levels. Otherwise, everything stabilizes and it helps maintain a moderate humidity level for an indoor environment.I usually tend to empty it before it fills up, but the auto-off function once full is a great feature. It's basically a set and forget type appliance.I placed just outside of my closet, with one of the fans facing inside my closet. This is to help circulate the air that might get normally get much circulation. This is a far more cost effective option than those disposable dehumidifying closet packs!Just make sure you are aware of the size of the unit and its dehumidification ratings. It obviously won't have much impact in a large or open room.Highly recommend!

Efficiency Based on 80 degree F room at 80% humidity
After running the unit 13-hours in a 63 degree room (less than 200 sq. ft.) with 70% humidity, there was no change in humidity and little water collected. It should be clearer that the rate of 68 oz. in 24 hours is for 80 degrees F at 80% humidity. All the rave reviews from RV owners in southerner states are a clue. The guy from Washington State was also unimpressed. Delving deeper I found the new standard should be based on a 65 degree room at 60% humidity and get the humidity below 50%, above which is conducive to mold and mildew. Buyer beware!

Works great in my trailer
I bought this to keep my living quarters horse trailer dry. It fits nicely on my bathroom sink counter and I can run the enclosed hose down into the shower to drain so I don't have to empty it. I leave it plugged in while it's parked at home in the summer. I store it when we travel in the shower (it has never tipped over) and plug it back in when we get to our destination. I know it keeps the trailer dry as I had a tub of scent beads in the other end of the camper and they dried into half the size a few weeks after plugging in the dehumidifier. It's not noisy, I actually like the white noise it provides. I like it's small size also, it sits nicely on my tiny sink counter. I'd purchase it again, it's exactly what I needed.

Not that durable
Used for a drying box for wood . Worked great for a while but after a year of periodic use it quit collecting water . Motor still runs , but the water reservoir is dry after one day of use .
