This book is garbage. It contains nothing about AI, several repeated pages of information, and mostly a high level review of search algorithms and some light touch coverage of very basic Javascript "data structures" of "strings and arrays". There is nothing that helps you solve any problems in the machine learning or data structures space, as the cover promises.

Helped me expand my programming skills into a new paradigm!Saw this book on its promotional week on a book promo site. I'm not really tech-savvy and is usually dumbfounded with these kinds of stuff. Luckily I took a few classes last semester in computer programming and I picked up a few things. I love learning this field, it's very complex for me but it's fun. I already know how to program Logic and Reasoning but a few tips from this book helped me improve my skills in that area. The biggest help this book made is probably with Complex Time Scheduling. It is really complicated but the chapter helped me understand the basics smoothly.

As other reviews on this book may suggest, this is really simple. The fact of the matter is that the title of the book is wrong and its obvious that the title is for marketing, and not to be accurate to the actual contents of the book. Generally speaking the algorithms used in this book are rather basic and are not "really" machine learning, and defiantly not A.I. This book is for someone who wants to learn to program in a language, and then this book expands on it with some common algorithms. In other words most average programmers will already generally speaking know the contents of this book. If your looking for a book that even remotely delves into real machine learning, this is not the book for you.However with a description that says it includes a "quick start guide to programming", it should sort of be obvious what this really is: A book meant to appeal common people to programming.As far as explanations and examples are in the book, there sort of lame too. All of the code type is italics and this makes it a little confusing when looking at the comments. This isn't really a big deal but with the other problems of the book, it just makes it worse. So I wouldn't partially recommend this to someone new to programming either. That's why it get only two stars, alone with the misleading title.

Awesome Book on Java, very informative and easy to learn about programming. This book is a fantastic, this book really guide how to create dynamic web content and design through basic coding in just 24 hours. The author described Javascript in detail, it is really easy to learn web language, the author also described in detail Javascript Tools and Tips for every programmer. I really love this book as it helped me to learn Javascript. Great book for the beginners and I highly recommended to all.

This was such a gimmick that I'd call it False Advertising.It was nothing but some Graph Algorithms -- poorly written at that -- and attempted to pull off some assertions as heuristics with a poor excuse for a Fitness Function.I think I got scammed.

The author did a great job. It's essentially a guide for everybody, who studying Javascript or just interested in this programming language. I found in this book a numerous of helpful advices and I like it, because they are simple to follow. All information was presented in the book clear and consistently. Using of the Javascript much more easy and effective, if you have this book.

It has no valuable content or observations for anyone with a Computer Science degree.
