Worth a read!
To sum up...it's a good insite to one of the army's finest! Anyone who wants to sign the dotted line should read this prior and see what life in the 1st battalion is really like (as oppose to what you're told in the careers office).Reading this book took me back to the good old days. Worth a read.

Bearskins and Red Tunic.
Well produced book ,I knew some of the names of the guardsmen in the book. The book gave a great insight into the inner workings of the guards regiment .Diappointed to hear that commissioned officers do not accept fully those officers who progress from the ranks .Snobbery has no place in the military or certainly in battle .My late uncle served, hence my interest.
