These are exactly what you’d expect from Amazon Basics — basic, functional, and solid enough for casual use.The sound clarity is perfectly acceptable for everyday tasks like YouTube or podcasts, and the volume control is simple and responsive. I like that the on/off switch is integrated into the dial, making it easy to use without fiddling around. They're also lightweight and take up very little desk space, which is a plus.The build quality seems decent for the price — no obvious faults, and they’ve held up well so far. The design is plain, but clean enough — they look fine alongside most setups.However, the blue LED on the front is unreasonably bright. It’s harsh enough to be distracting, especially in dim lighting. I’ve had to layer up some masking tape over it — and even then, it still glows through. It’s a strange design choice that stops me giving these five stars.Still, for the price, they’re a good option — just be prepared to deal with that little blue beacon.

Small and compact easy to tuck behind monitor . Not loud but not too quiet . The audio is super crisp if you want a budget set then grab these they sit nicely with my omen monitor . Super easy to work just plug in 2 things one into your tv/monitor then the usb into your pc , Xbox etc then bam crystal clear immersive audio

Fantastic improvement in sound quality - easy to control and great quality

This review is split into the good, the adequate and the bad.The good stuff first. This is a cheap pair of speakers but they're well made and quite nicely styled. The materials are well chosen and feel a little more expensive than they probably are. The speakers use a single two inch full range driver per cabinet, and present quite articulate and pleasant sounding mid and treble.The features are outstanding, in that they possess exactly what I wanted. A front mounted rotary volume control with an integrated muting headphone socket, and as an added bonus the volume control also incorporates a power on/off click, so these are very intuitive to use to people of a certain age whose natural instinct isn't to go for a software volume control.I've seen other users complaining about noise and hum. These are fresh out the box and aren't exhibiting any hum or buzz issues, so it's possible those users may be having issues with ground control.On to the adequate stuff, and let's start with cables. The cable lengths are pretty specifically designed for a user having the speakers on a standard 75cm height desk with power sockets at ground level and one speaker placed on either side of a single monitor up to 32". If you want your speakers above your monitor, have more distant power placement, or are running dual displays, you're going to come up short.Bass performance is...adequate. Let's be honest, with a single 2" driver in a tiny enclosure you're never going to wake up the neighbours. Even so, I've heard similar devices with more depth.Now the bad stuff, and there's three issues for me here. First up, there's a power indicator LED which in the current vogue is the de rigueur shade of intrusive blue. It's way too bright and while that's a small niggle, it's a persistent one. I think some PVC tape might be coming out for that.Secondly, the absolute volume level is disappointing. They're not very loud at all, even acknowleding their diminutive stature. This feels more like an amplification issue than an enclosure issue. I've plugged in a pair of AKG 92 headphones, which granted are more difficult to drive than a pair of earbuds, and volume levels are pretty weedy there too, but they'll do. It's hard to quantify without a decibel meter, but I'd say the volume level from these units is such that they wouldn't serve as a kitchen radio. A hood extractor and boiling kettle would stand a good chance of drowning them out.Thirdly, and this might be a perceived contributory factor to the second point, the volume control is linear and not logarithmic and this is just bad design. On a proper logarithmic pot the perceived volume at the mid point is about half as loud as the perceived volume when maxed out. With a linear pot, like this one, all the action is really in the bottom third and certainly the top half of the dial is next to useless. This does give you something of a false hope when you're getting a nice volume halfway round but you keep turning and nothing happens.I'm going to keep them as the feature set at this price point is quite hard to replicate, but that was a considered decision rather than a no-brainer.Summary: they're well made, they're easy to operate, they sound ok, they're not loud.

Great little speakers. Surprised how loud they are for the cheap price. Good bass on them to. No crackling noises on full volume. Smooth sound.

Decent, affordable speakers! I bought these for my gaming pc as an initial speaker, intending to buy better ones when I had more money. They're good little speakers, the sound is nice and they're compact and look nice with my set up. A downside is they're a little noisy, lots of background buzzing. I got used to it though, it may be hard for some to get past this.Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting them as a nice placeholder!! Get the job done.
