iSpringF9K 1-Year Replacement Supply Filter Cartridge Pack Set, White & MC7 Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane Replacement 75 GPD, 11.75” X 1.75”, Blue

I purchased this system in February 2018, I wanted to wait a while to see how it performed before writing a review. I have a background in water quality and am a bit of a water snob so I had very high expectations for quality and the water it produced.Installation was great, they include everything you need to install it on existing equipment. It attached to the cold water angle stop for your sink, they have a nice brass t fitting that will adapt to whatever you have under your sink either 3/8 or 1/2. it included an isolation valve so you can easily turn off your filter system for maintenance and carriage replacement. As a plumber I was very pleased with install. I am very picky in the way I put things together and it still only took me about an hour or so. I bet you could do the job in 30 minutes if you were in a hurry.Parameters: my tap water has any where from 250-400 ppm total dissolved solids (TDS). That's pretty standard for municipal water in southern California. still that is allot of stuff dissolved in the water including lead, arsenic, chloramine, and trace chemicals. Ph from tap is about 7.8. Coming out of the RO membrane before it hits the Alkaline cartridge I got a TDS of about 9-14 ppm. That is pretty incredible. the finished Alkalinity from this system was 8.8! perfect alkaline water. the mineral content was a great also, about 40-60mg/L of Carbonate hardness and 60mg/L general hardness. That means the perfectly minneraled and alkalized water free from chemicals, heavy metals or any harmful contaminates.The flavor as you can imagine is incredible. I use it to brew beer with, my friends cant believe the quality of my brew, the secret is the water. I use it to brew kombucha with similar results. I use it to fill my fish tanks, the African Cichlids need the high Ph.Finally the customer service for iSpring is impeccable. I bought a cartridge replacement and has some issues, customer service was quick to handle my issue and did not cost me a dime to make it right.these are the genuine replacment filters and they make the system work as it did the day I installed it

I didn't know a thing or two about home RO systems before this morning but I was sick of paying somebody $250+ every year to replace the cartridges. My home RO system isn't made by iSpring and I was not sure if their cartridges would fit. I called the customer service. Don from iSpring reviewed the pictures and walked me through the steps of connecting the tubing with the quick connect fittings. after the call I managed to replace Stages 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 in under 30 minutes, on my first try!Their products are great value. everyone should know how to replace RO filters by themselves because, thanks to companies like iSpring, it is made so easy.One interesting thing I learned from replacing the filters and messing around with the tubings this morning:there are two ways to connect a six stage system. iSpring has a diagram that goes from 1, 2, 3, 4, tank, 5, 6, faucet. The plumber who connected my system did, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, tank, 5, faucet. if you follow the iSpring's configuration, the first half pint of water is the residual water from stage 6 so you'll briefly see TDS as high as 200 ppm, because the water has been sitting with the minerals for a while. but as you run the water longer the TDS can get down to 33 ppm which is good. however, if you use the second configuration, since any residual water with high TDS will be normalized (diluted) in the tank, your TDS level is much more consistent, sitting at 35-45 ppm. and you can definitely taste the difference. if all of that sounded like greek to you, don't worry, either way your water will taste great, but if you understood my very bad description, give it a try and you'll definitely like it.

Installation was easy, but you do need to follow the original installation manual that came with the water filtration system. The replacement filter does not come with a full manual as these filters are compatible over several different models. The youtube video posted by the manufacturer/distributor skips a very important step- the need to flush the system after installing the first 3 bottom stages before connecting back to the main RO membrane. This is outlined in the original installation manual. You need to disconnect the tube that connects the 3rd stage filter to the remaining system and flush out the grey water coming out from the carbon filter. The extra clips that came with the filter was slightly different to the existing system, but it came with instructions and easy to figure out.

Update:Originally the stage 5 filter was different from the original filter I had that came with the RO system. They reached out and gave me a replacement (which was the same filter without the Y fitting) but this time it came with an adapter (see 3rd image). All you do is connect the Y adapter they provide you with into the Stage 5 filter (same end as original) and connect everything back up as it was originally.With this adapter, everything works as it should and the filters work perfectly. Updated my star rating for their great customer support.Stage 5 doesn't fit the 6 stage iSpring filter (see images). Original had the end with 2 way split while new one has a single one.This stage 5 should have one end split into the tank and also back into the filter. With this, you cannot connect to one of them. You are unable to remove the tip to try and use the old fitting.New one is marked with "12/2019" on it.

Does not come with enough modern click fittings to connect to my 6 stage system which I bought only 9 months ago.There are 2 types of connecting holes for this cartridges, thinner screw variety and a fatter 'easy-click' type. This is the latter, unfortunately my ispring unit was the former, so they are incompatible.Othwrwise a great system and the seller sent over spare parts a week later.

This is a good kit because I like having a larger filter pack so that I don't have to keep buying one filter at a time. Only issue I had with this is it did not have any connectors for the alkaline and the FT15 filter in the box as expected. I contacted iSpring Support, got a response from Nick the next day, who has very promptly arranged to get these shipped to me. Would not hesitate to buy again!

Refills are perfect for the year - missing a new tube link in one of the filters - but their support service sent out some spares to make sure I could eventually do the replacement. Overall good quality products...

Good water filter system. Unfortunately, one of the cartridges had developed a leak and was quickly replaced by the manufacturer. Would definitely recommend based on my experience.

Service was excellent and I assume the filtering will be as good as it the first time I have used these filters, so I will report when I purchase again.
