This item was defective. It did not had video coming out on the HDMI port. It had video coming out of the RCA port but it was horrible. Very poor quality and the box was not cheap. I had better luck with boxes that cost half as much. Also, the box seemed to be a previously returned item, as the unit itself was sloppily wrapped in a piece of plastic. No literature what so ever. Returned it for a refund, as I lost confidence on the brand and seller.Order a different one from other manufacturer. Cost less (same specifications) and much better quality.

A google tablet that plays on your TV, plays movies, games and more! Check it out
ETTG provided a sample of their T8 PRO Android Quad Core TV Box for my review and for my experience in writing unbiased detailed technical product reviews.Technically, this Smart TV box has all the functionality of a full featured Google Android tablet, except that your television replaces the screen of the tablet and mouse and keystroke controls start out through a remote control device (I'll explain how you can change this).. The set which is compact is still fully loaded with 3 USB port (I LOVE this feature), HDMI port (they include the cable), Audi/Video Ports (Cable included - Please use HDMI) , Ethernet and Wireless. The wireless is fast and sensitive, and if you have strong wireless signal, it will be completely effective for moves and video games. Otherwise, you still have the Ethernet option. The other Technical advantage is that, although, like many other Android boxes that I reviewed (I believe this is 7th or 8th Android box review now), they have stuffed all just about every video service into their system, including ones that simply do not work and have never work on any system. But the important ones, Netflix, Youtube (you have to download Youtube yourself), and other Free video and movie channels DO work, and deliver great video.Video gaming is as big as your TV. I actually, for the sake of demonstration set it up on my projection TV. Not always the best focus, but definitely, the best fun value.Set up is incredibly easy, especially if you already have a google account. If you don't have a google account, you may want to do that on your computer now, just to make set up easier and more seamless for yourself.Subjectively, this is, for me, the easiest and most productive of the Android boxes that I have yet reviewed.I have created a video review to detail and demonstrate this deviceI hope my video and comments help you make an informed decisionTom, The Squirrel Whisperer

Incredible Hardware Paired with Open-Source Software
Notice: I received a free or heavily discounted product sample in exchange for writing an unbiased review. The manufacturer has no influence on my review or score. So let's get right down to it, shall we? You're looking to save some money on your expensive monthly cable bill and you're heard of something called "Kodi" which gives users access to thousands of "channels" worth of content. You're intrigued. But where to begin? If you're relatively green to online streaming, maybe with the exception of using a Roku or Smart TV, you might start with a dedicated Kodi streaming box. That is, an appliance running an OS and already preloaded with Kodi. That is exactly what the ETTG T8 Pro is.►Hardware:This is my second dedicated Kodi hardware platform running on Android. This particular box comes loaded with Android 5.1 "Lollipop". That OS is riding on some impressive hardware:Amlogic AML8726-812 CPUARM Mali-450 GPU2GB DDR3 SDRAMAP6330 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0The specs on the CPU are fairly impressive with support for HDMI 1.4b; display resolutions up to 4K2K (3840 x 2160); and with multiple video decoder formats supported - 4K2K and H.264 & 265. Audio formats supported include MP3, AAC, WMA, RM and FLAC. Also supported aare Dolby Digital, DTS, SRS, DviX HD, and AC-3.Inputs/Outputs:(1) HDMI(1) Composite(1) SPDIF(3) USB(1) SD/MMCNetwork Connectivity:LAN Ethernet 10/100WiFi A/B/G/N►Impressions:Okay, so that impressive hardware lineup would ultimately be useless without great software. Thankfully the software is fine... well, sort of. A lot of these Kodi-box manufacturers select Android because it's open source. They can take the AOSP code and modify it for their platform and avoid licensing fees. But there are a couple of "buts" here that any novice should be aware of:1. The Android implementation isn't perfect. There are a lot of processes running on my T8 that generate a huge number of errors and I simply have no idea what's going on. My point is that this isn't like Android running on your fancy Samsung device... this is a bit looser, if that makes sense.2. You'll want at a minimum a Bluetooth keyboard and one with a touchpad preferably. Why? The Android 5.1 interface is really more suited to touchscreen devices. Using the remote to navigate a cursor on screen is less than ideal.3. Kodi is (formerly) XBMC (Xbox Media Center) and is free and open-source software. That means it comes with a lot of warts. It works but again, don't expect a fully polished and refined product here.Basically, you have a very nice combination of hardware that's cobbled together with an open-source OS and running open source software. If you temper your expectations and go in either a Kodi expert already or a relative novice that's willing to learn you'll be fine. If you are expecting a Roku-like polished and user-friendly experience you're going to have a bad time.►Using Kodi:I'm going to keep my commentary about Kodi to a relative minimum. For sure you can find a lot of content out there. Out of the box you need to do some tinkering around and probably more reading than you'd imagine to get the hang of it. You'll soon build up a knowledge base and your experience will improve. I will add that not all of these Kodi boxes are equal. This version is extremely fast thanks to the hardware specs and in my opinion the major element separating the T8 from the pack.
