Great Speaker but interferes with my bicycle computer
This is a great speaker. I loaded my mp3's onto a micro sd popped it into the speaker and they sound great. The FM radio works as does the bluetooth connection to my phone.Only 1 problem is that the speaker interferes with the signal between my wireless bicycle computer that measures my speed and mileage. As soon as I turn on the speaker, the readout on my wireless speedometer/odometer (PLanet Bike Protege 9.0) starts messing up. Mind you this isn't the bluetooth feature it's just the speaker playing music from my micro-sd card in the speaker.I tested it out 10 times and each and everytime it caused interference with my wireless bicycle computer.I got another wireless bicycle computer - the one sold on Amazon (brand Dinoka) and it doesn't suffer any interference from the speaker. I'm sad to have to change bike computers, but I really love this speaker. I love blasting music to drown out the horrible noise from motorcycles and cars as I ride through the busy part of town. And I love playing it as I ride the bicycle trails in the wilderness here.UPDATE: After 2 weeks of using this and also comparing it side by side with the JBL Wind and Wind 3, I have to say this blows both those speakers out of the water as far as maximum volume, battery life and bass. The JBL Wind's buttons were also more difficult to press and getting it out of the bicycle clamp holder was difficult. The JBL Wind 3 buttons were more accessible, easier to detach from bicycle clamp, but again, lost to the Clearon's superior maximum volume, bass and battery life.BTW, I'm changing this from a 4 to 5 star rating for this speaker. The fact that it interferes with my bicycle computer is not the speaker's fault. I just bought another one off Amazon that was cheaper and works without interference from the Clearon speaker...so 5 stars it is!Oh one more thing...the Clearon speaker may be a bit heavier than the JBL's but it is really built tough. Also, others have mentioned that the speaker may come out of its holder if you hit a bump on your bicycle. This might be true so I put a mini bungee cord around it and the holder. Here's another update, for the hell of it I bought a 30 watt output bluetooth speak on Amazon that was highly rated. I put it next to the Clearon, and you would be hard pressed to see any significant difference in terms of Max volume, quality of sound and bass. In fact, in my opinion the bass on the Clearon was better!

Avid bicycle fan loves it so far!
I bought this as a gift for an avid bicyclist and he loves it. I did my research and this tended to be one of the top ranked ones. The weight was important because he's constantly changing things to make his bike lighter. It comes with a mount ready to install and it was quick and easy. The reason I chose this over another popular brand is that it has a radio feature as well as bluetooth. There are times when riding on the trail that there is no internet signal, so the radio comes in handy. The volume goes pretty high and he doesn't usually need to set it to the loudest level to hear clearly. I will say that it lasts a long time, but I believe the description says something like 12 hours. It probably lasts a good 8 hours, but we haven't got 12 out of it yet. It also comes with a WIRED remote so you can place it anywhere on the bike you want - he really likes this feature as well. The remote has a bike bell sound on it - it is very loud and a little obnoxious (there are two separate ones - both equally as annoying). While the remote is nice, you have to open a rubber cover and plug the cord into it. He hasn't had any issues so far, but I can't imagine this being waterproof. The cord is easy to tuck away on the bike, but I don't like it sticking out of the plug and the rubber cover hanging open. Other than that, he really loves this speaker and uses it on every bike ride since I bought it and he is super picky about his bicycle accessories!

Great purchase, updated with USB-C and BT5.0
Update: this product now has Bluetooth 5.0 and USB-C instead of micro USB.My version of this speaker fell off my bike for the last time and bounced in the canal. May she RIP.I'm both impressed and sad. The speaker fell off my bike numerous times over the 2+ years I had it without breaking. Mostly it fell off because I wasn't using the mount in the proper orientation or I forgot to use my extra Velcro strap to keep it in the mount. However, this last time it managed to escape the mount and Velcro and eject straight into the canal.New version looks identical but has USB-C and Bluetooth 5.0. it also makes different noises when connecting to my phone and turning on/off. Makes me miss my old friend in her watery grave. Bluetooth 5.0 now controls volume better so I don't need to worry about both Bluetooth volume and speaker volume, they are one in the same.Haven't gone for a ride yet so I can't comment on if the speaker mount works better this time, but it looks and feels identical. Also it may just be placebo but sitting on my desk playing music it doesn't sound as good as my old one. Maybe once it's on my bike with the wind noise it will sound the same as I remember.Old review:I've been using this for about 2 years in all kinds of weather paired to my phone via BT. Always a solid connection and great sound. The bike mount works well, but I've started to add a velcro strap for additional holding power to keep the speaker in the holder - before it kept falling out on hard bumps. It's hit the ground at speed a dozen times, dented, broke in half, but snapped back together and still truckin'.Haven't used the controller so I can't comment on that. Looks good on your top tube behind the stem. Looks cheesy ok your handlebars.Maybe because the battery is old now, but it loses charge if it sits around for a couple weeks without being used.Still 5/5 would buy again.
